Signs are accumulating that California Governor Jerry Brown, fresh off a 20-point re-election victory and with at least $20 million in unspent campaign funds available, may challenge Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nomination for president in 2016. John Fund writes in NRO:
…when his political aides sent out an invitation for a $5,000 fundraiserin Sacramento next Monday, there was inevitable speculation: Jerry Brown may run for president for the fourth time.
If he challenges Hillary Clinton, Brown can claim solid credentials as a liberal leader. He has raised taxes on the rich, been an avid backer of climate-change regulation, and was one of the few Democrats in the country to win white males this past election. “He convinced California voters to support a water bond, a rainy day fund, a reduction in prison sentences, and more,” notes Joel Pollak of Breitbart News. “He is Elizabeth Warren with real executive experience and without the fake heritage.”
Among those openly pushing for a Brown candidacy is HBO’s Bill Maher, who is condemning ageism (Brown will be 78 years old in 2016). Chuck Todd of NBC News is also predicting that Brown may run.
As John Fund noted last year:
If Brown runs, some observers will inevitably say he’s engaging in a grudge match against the Clintons. In 1992, Brown ran for president and almost derailed Bill Clinton’s nomination by winning in Maine, Colorado, Nevada, Alaska, Vermont, and Connecticut. “There’s a lot of history between the Clintons and Jerry Brown, and it’s mostly bad,” recalls Phil Matier of CBS in San Francisco. “He ran against Bill Clinton and really went after him on ethics.

To think he was a front runner in 1984-Mondull’s question “Where’s the beef.” pretty much set the tone for the rest of the primary season. Mondull borrow a page from Saul Alinksy’s “Rules for Radicals”: ridicule.
California is in the hole not including the billions of unfunded liabilities.
Aging Liberals - not gonna get the young vote this time around. Cuomo will never make it as the proud sponsor of the “SAFE ACT” which makes gun owners criminals.
Brown has greater ties to union bosses and he always pay them back with tax money.
Yep, too funny to think about.
but all these old Democrats could still run for president again.
Jimmy Carter, Walter Mondale, Michael Dukakis, Al Gore, John Kerry..... would be a fun primary season to see them again.
They can all reminisce about their past losing campaigns and how it will be different this time..................
Jerry Brown has two major things going for him:
He didn’t bear Webster Hubbell’s child, and
he doesn’t have a long-term “close, personal relationship” with Huma Mahmood Abedin.
That may take him far.
“So will Linda Ronstadt finally get to be First Lady?”
No, Jerry finally “married” something that closely approximates another male. Anne Gust (sp)? Besides, have you seen Ronstadt lately? Woof! The last time anyone saw her she was being escorted off the stage (and right out of the place itself) at one of the Las Vegas Hotels where she had been “performing,” while the audience booed her.
Though I did hear something Rondstadt recorded recently, and her voice is still amazing.

Yeah, but I also liked to listen to Michael Jackson, but didn’t want to actually have to look at him. Ronstadt is a Commie. She tried out her Commie crap out during a performance and was kicked out of the hotel before she finished her “performance.” No matter how good a musician or performer they may be, I don’t want to see them if they trash our country. Can you say Dixie Chicks?
