Obamacare: Voters, are you stupid? [CNN ~spin~ for "stupid" readers)
CNN ^ | November 16, 2014 | Jeremy Diamond

Washington (CNN) -- Years-old but newly scrutinized videos of MIT economics professor Jonathan Gruber ignited a political firestorm this week because the self-described architect of Obamacare thanks "the stupidity of the American voter" for leading to passage of the president's signature piece of legislation.

With Obamacare open enrollment set to begin over the weekend and the Supreme Court set to weigh in again on the law next year, Republicans pounced, using the videos as additional ammunition in their case that President Barack Obama and his administration misled the American public on Obamacare. But it's been kind of a difficult story line to follow.

Why should old videos of an economics professor matter?

Here's the gist: Gruber called voters stupid, Republicans are calling him the Obamacare architect, and Democrats are calling it all a big misunderstanding.

Still confused? This will help:

Was Gruber the "architect" of Obamacare?.....

So why is he being called that? And what did he actually do?......

O.K. but this guy is still calling voters stupid! I vote. Am I stupid?......

So why is he calling us voters stupid?.......

But the controversy over whether the mandate is a "tax" isn't news, right?.....

So why are Democrats trying to distance themselves from Gruber?....

Was Gruber making a larger point here that we're missing?....

But am I? Are you?....

All of the people involved in all of this lying MUST go to prison. Our rates went up at least 30%!!! Lies that are COSTING us thousands of dollars!!! And, it is now a 70/30 plan instead of the many years 80/20 plan. Someone HAS to pay for all of this.

".....Maybe Democrats need to pay more attention to their constituents. They spent most of the summer avoiding them, castigating them as extremists, and calling them “un-American” for their outrage over their radical agenda to overhaul the US health-care system, but never bothered to listen to their actual concerns. The latest Gallup poll of American adults shows overwhelming satisfaction with current medical care and insurance plans, which explains why most of them would like to improve the existing system rather than put government in charge of it:

Americans are broadly satisfied with the quality of their own medical care and healthcare costs, but of the two, satisfaction with costs lags. Overall, 80% are satisfied with the quality of medical care available to them, including 39% who are very satisfied. Sixty-one percent are satisfied with the cost of their medical care, including 20% who are very satisfied.

There is a clear gulf in these perceptions between the health insurance haves and have-nots. According to a Sept. 11-13 USA Today/Gallup poll, the 85% of Americans with health insurance coverage are broadly satisfied with the quality of medical care they receive and with their healthcare costs. At 79%, satisfaction with costs among Medicare/Medicaid recipients is particularly high.

The 15% who are uninsured are far less satisfied with the quality of their medical care (50% are satisfied), and only 27% are satisfied with their healthcare costs. (Sixty-nine percent are dissatisfied with their costs.)

This last point bears repeating. A majority of the uninsured are satisfied with their medical care. They’re unhappy about the costs, which certainly makes sense, but they’re not unhappy with the system as it is. While about a third of the current uninsured cannot afford coverage, many of them choose to pay out of pocket for health care, which makes them more aware of costs than the average consumer — and more likely to object to it......"

It was H.L. Mencken who famously said that, sort of the Alex Jones of his day. The point is salient, though.

A simple reminder, if the super rich elite and white rats didn’t own and control ABCNNBCBS and the NY and LA Slimes, the Compost and other fish wraps, the Rat party would have died off a long time ago.

The president’s obamacare lies were directed specifically at his democrat voters to ensure the ACA legislation passed. The Republican would accept none of it so the lies would be useless on them. Therefore, when Gruber refers to “stupid” Americans, the democrat supporters of obama were exactly the target of his remark.

Not a simple Republican senator or Congressman voted in favor of that monstrosity called Obamacare. It must be make perfectly clear that democrat Phd com man Gruber, called stupid not all the American voters, but just the democrat voters that put the “Liar in Chief” in the White House, in spite of his Marxist anti-American back ground, and all the Democrats legislators co-conspirators with the president in the greatest deception against the American people in the history of the United States.
