Defiant Obama: I will use my power
The Politico ^ | November 14, 2014 | Josh Gerstein

YANGON, Myanmar — President Barack Obama on Friday defended his plans to use executive power to bypass Congress, signaling that he’s determined to move on issues like immigration and climate change, especially when lawmakers have failed to act.

“They have the ability to fix the system. What they don’t have is the ability to do is expect me to stand by with a broken system in perpetuity,” Obama said on immigration reform at a joint news conference here with Myanmar dissident leader Aung San Suu Kyi. “It’s way overdue. We’ve been talking about it for 10 years now and it’s been consistently stalled.”

Obama said he’s determined to grant relief to illegal immigrants in the coming weeks if Congress doesn’t produce a bill first.

“I gave the House over a year to at least give a vote on the Senate bill. They failed to do so,” the president said. “I indicated to Speaker Boehner several months ago that if Congress failed to act, I would use all lawful authority that I possess … That’s going to happen. And that’s going to happen before the end of the year.”

Obama also suggested that the deal he cut with China to reduce greenhouse gas emissions was proper because he has to take into account longer-term interests than do lawmakers who have resisted such actions....

I only wish that was true. We, in the United States, have two political parties. One political party has no principles. One political party has no guts. Their side has the party with no principles to do their bidding. Our side has the party with no guts to protect us. It is no contest.

One thing for sure, as far as political representation goes, our side don’t have anyway to go but up.

Let me tell you a little secret. He’ll do it and you won’t do a thing about it. If you do, the Feds will kill you.

Pretty soon, Obama is going to cross the Rubicon if there is no effective and assertive opposition. As Obama continues to advance against those who promise speeches and hearings, but then offer an annual appropriation which will fund Obama’s attacks, there will be no way to save the US within the system. Either Obama becomes a dictator or is removed from office by force. Either course will destroy the US as it now exists. The present weakness and appeasement increases the chances of the fatal crippling of the country.

The more arrogant and defiant he becomes the more steadfast and ready to challenege the new republican senate and house we should be. The setup seems to be a reach across the isle senario once again

“”At least with President Biden, he will be a gaff a day.””

That reminds me that last night O’Reilly had as a guest Trey Gowdy and they were discussing the topics of the day and O’Reilly asked him if he was going to fall into the trap the dems are setting about impeachment. Gowdy said, “I have only one thing to say. Have you met Joe Biden?” Believe it or not, O’Reilly didn’t get it until Gowdy repeated it... Priceless....

A guy with smarts AND a sense of humor. Let’s hope he’ll be successful in the upcoming Benghazi investigation...

The system so called needs no fixing. The way to fix the so called “system” is to get rid of the IIO , the Ideologue in Office.

If any POTUS has deserved being dragged kicking and screaming from his bunker to be tarred, feathered, and exiled. It’s this one.

I just like to wonder what people like Jefferson and Washington would do to this pox on America. They probably would have tried and hung him. Quickly.

Nope. He has to fall with the rest of them. Otherwise, he will GLADLY trade POTUS level secrets to whatever country will give him immunity.

Just wait till he gets really desperate. Don’t think we’ve seen anything yet. I think he has many many loyalists in the military, and I guarantee you if ordered most would fire on American civilians. At the threat of your families lives and everything you have, with the reasonable assumption that the person doing the threatening has the power and means to follow through most people will do anything.

This question should be on every Americans mind, any that value Freedom and Justice for all.

Anyone who would stand and proudly say “Give me Liberty or give me Death”, have some very deep thinking to do. I certainly hope not, if he leaves office without a whimper then no problem. But I think something is going to happen that will allow him to seize power. In the right situation he certainly WOULD. No doubt about it. Anyone like that should have been removed years ago. Should never have been made President.

Basically we can try impeaching now, or removing him forcefully. Or risk him seizing power in the event of a catastrophe, or a false flag attack. Is it worth the slight chance he wouldn’t leave office?

The man is openly ignoring the courts, the Congress, the Constitution and the law.

I don’t know what he’s going to do - that’s what scares me!

But he seems to think the law doesn’t apply to him, which is a strange reaction for a man who has done nothing but spit out laws and regulations punishing his enemies.

The ONLY thing Congress can do is CUT HIS FUNDING. He can’t spend it unless they authorize it.

But since they’ve already said they won’t, I guess Obama can do whatever he wants...

I agree. I would rather have Biden. He’s not the Boy King, nor is he a malignant narcissist. In short, Obozo is the worst that can happen to America.

He has decided that he can make any order, violate any law and that it is a legitimate exercise of executive power

More than a few talking heads agree with him even a few on FOX.
