Alrighty. I'll do that.
Any idea how they normally handle these kinds of issues? I've read of people finding strange things in their packaged foods before, but I have no idea whether the stores simply replace the goods, or what.
I am certain they will replace it, if not double the replacement. Often you will have a choice as to whether you want the product or a cash refund.
Talk to the store manager or grocery manager only. They will want to know. These guys are paid reasonably. The average GM at a Walmart has a salary of $99,000, but they AVERAGE around another $70K per year in cash and stock bonuses. Their bonuses could be as much as 200% more than their base salary and a part of that is customer service and positive customer feed back. A top walmart GM at a Super Store hitting its’ numbers and with a minimum of unresolved customer complaints can make $250k even close to $300k per year. These guys are the real deal. And most care a great deal about what is going on in their stores.
Go to the customer service desk and ask specifically for the store manager. They are usually there daytime hours. If he is unavailable, ask for head grocery manger.
If they do a good job for you and you are happy, send a letter to the main office care of Senior Vice President of Store Operations. Same if you are not satisfied.
