Election 2014: McSally apparent winner in CD2 race
Arizona Daily Star ^ | November 11, 2014 | Joe Ferguson

Posted on 11/12/2014 9:02:52 AM PST by vbmoneyspender

With just 200 votes countywide left to count, Republican Martha McSally is the apparent winner of the Congressional District 2 seat.

McSally holds a 133-vote lead over incumbent Democrat Ron Barber.

But with such a narrow margin, a final, official declaration of a winner will have to wait for an automatic recount, required by state law because the gap between the two is less than 200 votes.

Pima County this afternoon finished counting more than 4,700 provisional ballots, which showed McSally maintaining a small lead.

Don’t count our chickens yet. Paper ballot recounts tend to favor Democrats, because Democrats can’t seemingly can’t follow simple instructions as well in filling out a ballot.

Listening to a podcast about AZ as we speak....the Republican Establishment candidates who waged war on conservatives in the primaries bombed out while a more conservative Governor candidate won by 12 points.

“because Democrats can’t seemingly can’t follow simple instructions as well in filling out a ballot.”

Yeah, that’s got to be it, that also explains why the improperly calibrated electronic voting machines NEVER switch democrat votes to republicans and democrats are never left off the ballot. And all this time I thought they were delibertly cheating and stealing votes.

Well, I didn’t rule out cheating, too. :-)

I usually don’t assume cheating when ignorance will suffice. But I can understand your concern, especially with you being from BarbourLand. I sympathize.

Yes and she poured a lot of her gun control super-pac money into this campaign. If the win holds it will be sweet.

Looks like 247 right now and will go to 248 if McSally's count holds - if everything goes right with both Tacherra's and Ose's vote counts in California then it could go to 250.

I'm guessing it will be 249 when all is said and done.
