Gruber video #2: No, really, American voters are stupid; Update: Third video?

Call this Gruber 2: Stupid and Stupider. Jonathan Gruber attempted to escape scrutiny for his October 2013 declaration that Americans are “stupid” and that ObamaCare was designed to exploit that and hide its true nature by saying that he regretted his “off the cuff” comments. “I basically spoke inappropriately,” he told Ronan Farrow, “and I regret having made those comments.”

Last night, though, a second video emerged from the same time period in which Gruber explained that the ACA passed “because the American people are too stupid” to understand the law. Megyn Kelly wondered last night how this squared with Gruber’s mea culpa on that “little-watched MSNBC show”:

Rep. Trey Gowdy says, “I can’t even get past the irony to get to the arrogance.” ... It’s an object lesson, Gowdy says, on the dangers of passing “comprehensive” legislation — like immigration reform, for which Republicans can now make Gruber the poster boy for the Obama administration’s credibility.

There might be some truth to what Gruber is saying about the voters.

1) What happened on November 4, 2008?

2) What exactly did the voters think they were getting electing Soetoro POTUS and giving the Dems huge majorities in both houses of Congress?

Elections have consequences.

Manipulation is an integral part of progressivsm and always has been. Wilsonian progressive Walter Lippman spoke of the people as a “bewildered herd” and that an elite class of intellectuals should be used to circumvent (Through manipulation) the primary defect of democracy.

"Let’s not forget that when Gruber calls voters stupid, it can’t be applied to those who opposed ObamaCare on the very same grounds as he states in these videos. Critics had made these arguments all along about the deceptive structure of the bill, and the lies being told to cover it up. Gruber’s talking about the Obama coalition in these remarks.

Many of the very same critics have questioned the integrity of the current occupant of the Oval Office and EVERY action he's taken since taking advantage of the "low information" media driven voter base.

There are many Grubergates yet to be uncovered.

Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Stephen G. Breyer, Elena Kagan and Ruth Bader Ginsburg should recuse themselves from any further Obamacare cases. They have been betrayed by their own party and are looking like total tools now.

In a fair America, that would happen.

Not in Herr Obozo’s America. A few years ago, a friend ended up in a phony trial claiming he had caused enviral mental damages to a parking lot he owned by putting up a temporary dam to keep a winter seasonal creek from flowing into his parking lot.

His lawyer after the jury was placed, asked the Judge to recuse himself and the DA because they were both active Sierra Club members and officers. The judge refused and that probably lost the case in the eyes of the new jurors.

My conclusions:

1) He went on a speaking tour of major universities and made this same bragadocious claim at every stop.

2) Every IT Manager and Sys Admin in academia is on a search-and-destroy mission today looking for more video.

Actually, regardless of the level of intelligence or lack thereof among the citizenry in this or any other country with a partially democratic polity, shouldn’t a law being so complex that the average citizen cannot understand it be regarded as failing of the law, rather than of the citizenry?

Lawyers should be banned from holding legislative office. The guild-interests of the legal profession always trump the public interest when lawyers legislate, chiefly because they can’t tell the difference between the two and fancy their guild-interests (served by making laws more complex) are the public interest.
