And btw......
“.....In a Hispanic-majority district, where immigration could be a snag for a Republican, he was able to communicate why border security is key to solving the issue of immigrants in the country illegally, and that amnesty would cause more problems than it would fix....”
Have the car trunks been searched yet?
Hello...GOPe....pick up the phone.....your wedge issue here.....anyone.....crickets
UNREAL!!!
This is equivalent to beating Cantor back in June (well, not quite the earthquake, but a really big deal in any case).
Being against Open Borders HAS NOT hurt Republicans ONE BIT, and there is plenty of polling to support that. They ONLY PEOPLE saying that we need open borders were the Democrat leaders and Republican consultants (most of them gay, by the way).
What I am somewhat surprised about is that being against Amnesty has not hurt the Republicans with Hispanics. On that issue the Republican consultants (most of them gay, by the way) are correct, which is that Hispanics would like Amnesty, at least in some form. But given this result, and what happened in Texas the Republican consultants (most of them gay, by the way) are overplaying the issue - as it’s probably of little or any concern to legal Hispanics in this country (i.e., way down the issues list). So we get a pass on it...very nice.
(and by the way, they do seem to almost all come out as gay, after the fact...I make my remark because Republican leaders have to, at some point, realize they are a 5th column and nearly cost us this election by pushing Amnesty to no end)
Pretty amazing to the punditry who will look cross-eyed for a moment followed by a smirk that it’s a mere anomaly while they promptly forget it.
Because Beltway talking points say the tsunami was due to the GOPe ‘selecting moderate-likable-reasonable’ candidates.
Now if this fellow talks Tea Party Turkey at the Freshman orientation I believe Boehner will imbibe more than his usual daily allotment of Jack Daniel’sand that would be fun to watch.
Isn’t this the district where the economy has been hurt so much by EPA water access restrictions (endangered species or some such)? If so, then Hannity went out there a few years back and did a big story on the situation.
God bless this true American and his family, and may he not be seduced by the RINOs .
may he not be seduced by the RINOs .

You got it! That is exactly the game that goes on in DC. Its the old “to get along, go along” theme that is drilled into the newly elected reps. And that means softening your convictions and towing the party line if you want to advance your career and get support for your pet projects. Its an insidious process that very few understand.
Either a homeboy or a neighbor (16th)...legislative district-wise, depending upon where Jim Thompson's alter-ego hangs his hats. (can't wear 'em all, all at once...)
But I'm guessing home is 22nd (Nunes).
The Dems will cheat and take the seat.
Maps for the 16th (that I could find online) showed about half or more of Fresno to be in the 22nd.
I hate it when that happens.
All the changes make it hard to know where the boundaries are...but I used to live in the 22nd (I think) back when it included Morro Bay, until a long coastal sliver was included in Lois Capps (Santa Barbara) District.
Checking further, I see her district has now been changed to include all of SLO County.
Now... I live in a State far from there, and in a lonely 'Rat District surrounded by good 'ol Red blooded Americans.
A quarter mile Southwest of me, and about a half mile due West (the boundary is typically crooked Gerry-mandered lines) is a Red colored U.S. Congressional District.
Costa is usually in lock-step with Pelosi and there are lots of absentee and provisional ballots to count.
This is the primary reason we need to move the seat of Government out of Washington and return the Congress to the people. In today's world the business could all be done via computer.
Believe me, there are ways to create SECURE communications lines, else how could our military work? How about our Missile defense system? Believe me they aren't using Pony Express.
Move them home and away from the poison that infects all those who spend any real time there.
If this guy wins, it should be breaking news blasted all over the Internet. This is how it’s done. This is how we take our country back.
Ain't it great how "non-partisan" redistricting has become?
It has gotten worse, hasn't it?
And in California, it's almost all 'Rat Party manipulation, even though nationwide when people think of gerrymandering they think of some extreme cases in Texas -- like it's only those evil Southern Republicans that do "it".
I admit to not being able to keep track of it -- even when trying to.
It works out for all of the politico's advantage, in that sense.
Not enough of the electorate pays attention. It takes a lot of effort.
And then -- one has to sift through the b.s. and dig deep in things such as campaign finance to find who is who, and what is going on.
It's like a full-time job, just to watch a few at once.
