Republican Dan Sullivan is expected to defeat Democratic Sen. Mark Begich in the final vote count in the Alaska Senate race, according to an analysis by a reporter for Alaska Public Radio Network.
Reporter Alexandra Gutierrezs analysis arrived at the same conclusion as an analysis conducted by Alaska News-Miner. Begich would reportedly need to win more than 56 percent of the uncounted votes to overtake Sullivan.
Sullivan led Begich by 8,149 votes after Election Day last week, but Begich refused to concede. The Democrat is waiting on more than 21,000 uncounted absentee ballots, allegedly from rural areas where the mail is slower, and plans to question some other votes. But as The Daily Caller reported, information leaking out of official state sources showed that many of the absentee votes that were not counted on Election Day are not coming from rural areas but are actually coming from cities including Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Democrat-friendly Juneau. The Alaska Division of Elections will begin counting the uncounted votes Tuesday.

The counting begins again tomorrow and not all of the uncounted votes are from places that voted for Mark Begich. Even National Public Radio indicates that Sullivan will win. Begich is just delaying the inevitable.
Time for the Rats to start “finding” ballot boxes full of uncounted Rat votes.
I also hope this isn't some form of misinformation to keep GOP lawyers out of the state until it is too late.
What about Parnell? I’m not so worried about the Independent governor really, but it would be good to know how this race will end up./
I know I learned math the old way, so it might be suspect, but if he is 8000 behind with 21,000 left, Begich would have to win around 14,500 out of the 21,000 to catch Sullivan, which is about 69%.
I hope someone is watching the count closely - Alaska is where a lot of crooks from the lower 48 go to reinvent themselves.

I didn’t think it was possible for Republicans to win recounts even when they are significantly ahead to begin with
I think the Governor’s race is lost, but so is Mark Begich. Democrats are saying that about 40,000 votes remain uncounted. But even if that’s the accurate number, Begich would have to win around 60% of them to win, which is very unlikely.
They might just keep counting until the Demorat wins...
What makes it even tougher for Begich is that 5.71% of the total votes in the precincts counted went to third party candidates. Just having 5% of the additional votes going to third party candidate reduces the odds for Begich.
I think and hope the Repubs win. Repubs called my house election night, wanting to know if my entire family voted; they were counting votes and they seem to think they have it in the bag; sure hope so.
No joke, the Indians stick together and figure throwing elections for financial gain is how America works; Us White Folks could learn a little from them backward Indians for sure, ha ha.
I did get a couple of my Indian buddies to vote Repub though, got them thinking about 2nd amendment and how many times Begich voted with Big Ears. Crazy thing was a couple Viet Vet Indians in my village who are Registered Repubs voted for Begich, cause the corporation put the word out to do so. We have almost 100,000 Natives up here, maybe 30-40 thou voted that usually don't, so it will be close I bet. Hope the Repubs are right. Repubs need to start passing money & booze out in the villages; they'd have the Indians in the bag. Dems been doing it for many years, but this year they went the extra mile.
Bump.
They might find some missing ballots in the prius parked out back of the dnc headquaters. The green one with the coexist sticker, license plate number is ALFRKN2
There’s no need to borrow trouble. Even liberal sources like National Public Radio are predicting a Sullivan win now.
Ain’t that the truth; and you should see all the fake preachers we have out here in the sticks. I bet a third of the people in our community have dirt in their past, now and then one gets caught. We have one guy, originally from Cajun Country, after 9 years, suffering minus 70 winters, flipped out, called the authorities down South and wanted to turn himself in; said he had enough of Alaska, ready to do his time. Cops told him to stay put up here, don’t bother them or they would give him grief, ha ha. True story. p>Actually most are ok out here, live and let live attitude. If they live in a city, they end up getting arrested for this or and blow their cover. Out here, no cops for 200 miles and road is closed, they are quite safe. Everybody is armed to the teeth, hasn’t been a murder in 35 years and that last guy was drowned in the Yukon by his drunk buddies by accident. How many murders in the lower 48 of late???
We lived in Juneau for 25 years and moved south in 2005 - I should have stayed.
you know, I was thinking the exact same thing. Anyone here know how they get to 56%
