Clay Aiken isn’t the only one smarting over his failed attempt to become a congressman in North Carolina. RadarOnline.com has learned that the 35-year-old former American Idol contestant’s baby mama, Jaymes Foster, 50, is also deeply disappointed he lost. According to a source, a win would have meant she could have petitioned for a reduction in the $7,500 child support payment she must give Aiken every month.

In the first place, she is the child’s mother, and therefore she owes him financial support. Her duty is to the child. In the second place, she did something wrong by producing a child to be turned over to a pervert. If we can’t make that illegal, the least we can do is make it expensive.

“Her” (take a look at a picture) age is a bit obscure, but according to the “People” link Petitfour mentioned, she was 50 when the baby was born.
It’s perfectly reasonable for a healthy woman to have a baby when she’s 50. The rest of the situation is what’s crazy here.
Perhaps the premise is that a parent of either sex should be able to escape responsibility for his or her child.
Baby was born in 2008. He is 6 now. She is 56.
I read the People article from 2008 earlier today, and I cannot fathom the lunacy.
