Why The Democrats Lost, If They Really Did
http://www.inquisitr.com ^ | November 9, 2014

The Democrats suffered a political slaughter in their loss in the midterm elections, at least by conventional metrics. The Republicans gained seven seats in the Senate, a number in the House, and four governorships. The Democrats managed to pull off only one upset in the state of Pennsylvania. Never before, since the state began allowing two gubernatorial terms, has a sitting governor lost a challenge. A veritable political bloodbath.

Notice how the clueless democrats refuse to believe they really lost. The "veritable political bloodbath" mentioned was a republican losing the governor's race in PA. No where is mentioned the gains the GOP made in black and hispanic representation. But what is mentioned twice is how not many people voted, meaning that if more had voted the socialist party would have swept back into power. Also notice how Dear Leader Obama is never mentioned. Do these people live in reality?

In my small town in MA, I had to wait in line to vote. I've never had to do that before. Ever.

And we now have a Republican governor.

The Democrats are pushing a cock and bull story, I think.

If Obama gets away with amnesty, the Dems will have a permanent majority, and America will be a brutally oppressive socialist state.

The DemocRAT get-out-the-cheat effort was simply overwhelmed by the number of citizens who are tired of Obola and his policies.

Except in PA. They still have time to work their magic in Alaska, too.

Gov Corbett lost Pennsylvania because he signed a bill raising the PA gasoline tax 27 cents a gallon (across 3 years) on top of the 52 cents that Pennsylvanians were already paying. This state will soon have one of the highest gas tax in the nation.

This is the MAIN reason that Corbett lost. It also did not help him that many Penn State fans blame for the firing of Joe Paterno when Corbett was the Attorney General during the Jerry Sandusky fiasco.

“In my small town in MA, I had to wait in line to vote. I’ve never had to do that before. Ever.”.......

Same here in Wisconsin. My wife and I went to vote early in the AM and there was a huge line ahead of us. Unheard of before in our small town of 900 people. The BIG draw here was keeping Gov. Walker at the helm and then the various other races. A real message was sent but apparently the demodummies weren’t home to get it.

Illinois turned RED for the first time in 16 years. Looking at the Politico election map, Illinois is now more red than Texas is.

Stunning turn-around for this state. There's hope yet.

Best part about Tuesday's Republican Governor's win in Illinois: the "temporary" 67% income tax increase that the super-majority Democrat state legislature FORCED upon Illinois Citizens now EXPIRES on January 1st. They will NOT vote to make it Permanent ahead of Governor Rauner taking office.

He might have won if he had jailed Paterno along with Sandusky. But Paterno beat him to it and just died, the miserable little enabler.

Oh the Dems lost it big time.

They tried to side step away ISIL.

Then Ebola.

Then they made the minimum wage their economic model.

Then they kept insisting Obamacare was good while premium were being jacked up again

And the website down again, plus the employer mandate ready to strike in 2015.

Worse than a busted flush I'd say.

There are a lot of Democrats young and old stunned by what happened. Democrat leadership needs the MSM to pump out as much disinformation as possible to provide folks with a reason to stick around.

You have and will continue to see illogical and untruthful proclamations flowing like a river from all leftist media sources. The true believers will accept the drivel at face value and repeat it in conversation with other “like minded” acquaintances.

Don't forget Obama dodging the NSA spying on domestic Americans.

Playing Political Footsie with the IRS.

And threatening to use an Illegal Executive Order to implement Amnesty over the United States.

The bloodbath carried all the way down to the county level.

In my county every single republican challenger won and 5 of 9 democrat county commissioners were replaced by republicans making it a 7-2 GOP advantage.

In my small town in MA, I had to wait in line to vote. I've never had to do that before. Ever.

I've only had to wait in line ONCE to vote in the last 22 years I've lived in my current home.

That was back in 2008, I had to wait 5 minutes. I was voter #12 right after the polls opened here at 6am. I'm usually one of the first 5 voters every election.

This past Tuesday, I had to wait almost 20 minutes, and I was voter #28 at 6:15am. Our precinct had a whopping 5 voting booths for the entire day.

My wife voted around noon on Tuesday, she was voter #548 and she waited 15-20 minutes to vote.

According to my friends who are a combination of poll workers, election judges and poll watchers it was that way ALL DAY. There were over 30 people still in line at 7:00 when the polls closed, and they had to be allowed to vote according to Illinois law.

I think part of the reason was because we had such a long ballot in Illinois this time. A fair number of referendum questions, a few constitutional questions and a long list of judges to retain or dump.

The main reason however is that we had very high turnout at least in my precinct. Over 91% turned up to vote during a mid-term election. That's a record here.

People were also pretty pissed off that the now former Governor hiked our income taxes a whopping 67% "temporarily" three years ago, and if he were to be re-elected it was going to be made permanent and hiked another 33%. I'd like to believe that alone was a major motivator of getting folks to the polls.

Despite all the bitching here about Reince Priebus, the national effort was great.

they nationalized Obama's failures and used it in every race possible.

they learned from 2012 failures how to get out the vote.

they raised enough money to get the joke done.

and they never altered their strategy, knowing Obama's failures were paramount issues to hammer home. That all came from the top. So hate Priebus all you want, but he and Republican leaders 'nationalized' races that the Dems all knew was their supreme weakness and succeeded all over the country.
