MEXICO CITY Suspects in the disappearance of 43 college students have described a macabre and complicated mass murder and incineration of the victims carried out over an entire day and ending with their ashen remains being dumped into a river, Mexican authorities said Friday.
In a somber, lengthy explanation of the investigation, Attorney General Jesus Murillo Karam played video showing hundreds of charred fragments of bone and teeth fished from the river and its banks. He said it will be very difficult to extract DNA to confirm that they are the students missing since Sept. 26 after an attack by police in the southern state of Guerrero.

All the animals involved in this mass murder don’t have to worry about capitol punishment in the humane country of Mexico.
And they don’t have to worry about the victims fighting back with guns.
I don’t think most Americans, to include many Freepers, realize how dangerous living in Mexico really is. One or more of the cartels have actually turned to other criminal activities besides drugs to grow their business; business extortion is now commonplace. There are frequent occurrences of busloads of migrant workers being executed for not working for a cartel. I don’t have ANY mercy for anyone who uses drugs on account of the death(s) involved getting it to market.
Not to Worry Washington Compost and Associated Depressed:
This is just ‘social justice’ in action.
‘My sister went to Mexico 2 years ago on a business trip. I begged her not to go. I could have gone along for free but there was no way I’d set a foot in that lawless country.’
Amen to that...I believe kidnapping is also a somewhat frequent occurrence.
I have been traveling to Mexico for many, many years. I have NEVER heard of a time when it was ever safe to travel in Guerrero.
I was always told to just stay away.
After the Mexican-American War, a huge border wall should have been built by President Polk. He also should have seized Baja California as well.
This is what OUR war on drugs does to others. We did this. We fed the cartels. We bribed their government. We fed this monster. We are, ultimately, responsible.
We need to stop this crap.
Where is the state of Guerrero?
South, on the left coast. Right next to one of my favorite parts of Mexico, Michoacan which has also been tainted.
I love the super tall pine trees in Michocan that are laced with orchids. Mexico is really beautiful. And poor. And mismanaged.
We have been to Mexico many times but not any more.
We are bringing Mexico here...
Hey, I’ve got a great idea. Why don’t we open the borders and let the cartels walk across so they can do things like that up here.
Oh, say what? The borders are open? Oh..., never-mind.
In the 70s I would drive all over Mexico. At that time the only problem was corruption and the occasional bribe, "La Mordita." I had no fear for my life. I also speak Spanish and was raised on the border, my wife is from Mexico.
Today we would not even consider driving into Mexico. It is very easy to get dead because you are in the wrong place at the wrong time or can be considered a victim for kidnapping for ransom. If the ransom is not paid you will be killed.
Do not go to Mexico unless it to a resort with transportation from the resort. That is safe. Otherwise you are a target.
I went to Juarez a few times with my wife in ‘86 when I was stationed at Ft. Huachuca. Today, not a chance.
