You’re right.
Thanks very much!
Step 2: Back it up
if this be the case then bonehad is no longer the Speaker ofthe House.
The pic was taken on St. Patrick’s Day.
I think it would be funny if Boehner was playing King O, knowing that a GOP Senate would shred that legislation. I think Cruz would make sure of it.
Charlie Brown, Lucy and football come to mind.
Border security first. Then we can talk about those already here.
Time to rethink your Speaker of the House nomination this session, Republicans.
I didn’t know I was a racist until I realized how much I hate orange people.
I predict a new party forming if this moves forward in a bipartisan way.
Does this surprise anyone? But we just have to support these traitors no matter what their record is, say the plantation republiCrats.
Say what you will about Boehner but I'm beginning to think that he's been playing Obama like a little bitch all along. Obama is stuck again waiting to do something for his peeps.
Boner: limp, flaccid
A couple of points worth noting:
1) Boener was not as secret as the article suggests regarding Amnesty. Early this year, the House leadership had agreed to something like an 8-point plan for “Immigration Reform”. Ted Cruz immediately called it AMNESTY and died away.
2) Since then Boener never said that Amnesty is dead, only that he wouldn’t be able to move on it until the president stopped, at least for a short time, ACTING LIKE A DICTATOR. The president, of course, was unable to control himself, and so it never moved forward.
3) Then the clincher, which was the DEFEAT OF ERIC CANTOR. Boener, and this reporter, may not be able to fully understand the significance of that defeat (being a top leader and driven from office by an unfunded novice), but the rest of the Republican caucus sure understood it, including the ones that were ready to follow Boener off the cliff on the issue, once Cantor had safely retained his seat.
4) Now we go into 2015 with a dozen MORE Republicans and a dozen less Dems. On top of that, the Republicans had one of their best electoral performances in their history, all with NOT LIFTING A FINGER ON AMNESTY. Republicans, even some very hard core Republicans in Texas, swept through by their biggest margin ever, getting HUGE NUMBERS of Hispanics along the way...again, while promoting only Secure Borders and NO TALK OF AMNESTY.
Bottom line - regardless of what Boener wants, or wanted, or whatever, he IS NOT about to get Amnesty in the next two years, if ever.
“Tell Barack that I’ll have more flexibility after the elections.”
Did Boner miss the election results?
Obama, Boehner and McConnell and the PARTY elites work for either the Hollywood controlled media, Wall St or the US Chamber of Commerce....but none for Americans.
Those with their head in the sand do not grasp how the scheme works against 99% of us. These mfxxs want only to get re-elected, and not because they make the USA a better country for most Americans. Forget the Party thieves.
Why didn't the GOP leadership react to DACA? Because they wanted to do the same thing. In fact, Eric Cantor wanted to introduce his own version of the Dream Act. The GOPe wants amnesty to placate their corporate paymasters. They will continue to push for an amnesty.
We could be watching a "bad cop, good cop" routine where the GOPe pushes for "immigration reform" to preempt Obama's executive actions. The GOPe wants to get immigration off the table prior to 2016. They are fools because immigration can be a winning issue for the Reps if they use it correctly. Let the Dems own Obama's amnesty. The GOP can become the party that defends the American worker and American jobs.
Bottom line - regardless of what Boener wants, or wanted, or whatever, he IS NOT about to get Amnesty in the next two years, if ever.
If Obama goes through with his executive amnesty before Christmas, we will have amnesty no matter what the GOP does. It will be fought thru the budget process to delay its implementation, but it will still go forward. We are not going to reverse the amnesty any more than we did the DACA amnesty. Obama said that the Reps could undo his executive actions if they pass legislation that he can sign. He is presenting them with a fait acompli. Boehner will cave because he wants to cave.
All Boehner has to do is deny the "Hastert Rule" and bring the legislation to the floor.
During the lame duck session, all he needs to pass it is the Democrat caucus and 18 Republicans (and there are enough Peter Kings to reach 18).
Doing so would doubtless cost him his Speakership. But he could certainly retire to a well-feathered nest in Florida, courtesy of the Chamber of Commerce.
