The Ebola outbreak in Texas has ended.
As of midnight Friday, it was 21 days since anyone got Ebola or was in contact with someone who got Ebola.
God willing, we are going to be Ebola-free Friday midnight, said Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins, the elected official who oversaw the countys response to its three-person outbreak, before the deadline passed.

B. Who's to say that 0bola hasn't let more infected peeps into Tex.?
Until the next one.
That was my first thought as well.
Ebola - yet another “pandemic” that wasn’t.
That will disappoint the fear mongers.
Have you heard of Africa?
“Pan” means worldwide. This might be done here, but it’s just getting started there.
It will be back.
Just because we don't trust this administration doesn't mean we don't retain some common sense. I haven't heard of one case spread accidentally-where the victim didn't know they were in harms way. IF there is one...it's only one. Nobody in Duncan's family caught it....nobody on the ambulance...not one person got it from the nurses or the NYC Doc. The fact remains that when EBola faces modern medicine and normal hygienic practices...it loses.
As I said in another thread, I was reserving judgment on this until the 1st week of November...3 weeks after the Hajj. If I didn't see cases popping up all over the world...I would know the fear factor was overblown.
Its overblown. Yes....it can be 42 days...but the fact remains that a VAST majority of the infections occur in the first week -10 days. Odds are not in Ebola's favor. It's hard to catch...just like the WHO and CDC have been saying. And frankly...there are a lot of other things out there to spend our time on and worry about.
Seriously felt there were more than a few people here that were secretly hoping for a huge outbreak.
And I’m sure there are a number that thinks this story is all a bunch of lies.
I bet Clay IS relieved. What a complete bonehead who risked his life and those around him due to his ignorance and pride.
Yep. I think too many people on here take Alex Jones at his every word. He was really pushing this as a BIG story. It ain't. Its real simple: It got into the big cities of west Africa and caught people by surprise...and the WHO was slow to react. Now that they are, its burning itself out slowly...and will never be a real big issue here. If we see more than 20 cases I'll be surprised. Even 20 cases would be treated by some here as the apocalypse.
I’ll be happier when the number of peeps under 0bservation in the US start to precipitously decline rather than grow.
I believe Obama was thinking this would be an opportunity for him, but he did not count on the Republicans winning so big.
So Ebola will not be the huge issue, it otherwise would have become.
I predict we will control it, and it will go away.
Uh...no its not. That's a false statement. We are seeing the infection rates slowly decline.
Its a fragile virus. If it gets into some of the slums of Indian or other 3rd world pits...then it may roar some again...but until that happens...
“just like the WHO and CDC have been saying”
Is that the same WHO and CDC who said you could GIVE someone ebola on a bus but you couldn’t GET ebola on a bus?
The same ones who said it wasn’t in lungs and therefor couldn’t be airborne through coughs, sneezes and other airborne particles. Until they said it was, and had a 3 foot danger zone, until they said it was 6 foot. Of course that was after they told an infectious nurse she could fly in an airplane.
Looks like we dodge the reaper but it wasn’t through preparation or planning.
Its in China. Been reported on Asian news channels.
and fewer of those under “observation” go missing.
there is NO reason for someone under “observation” to go missing.
I was a daily watcher until he literally sat there and started crying like a little b*tch over this. Actual crying!
I had to take a hiatus from infowars for a few weeks until he cut back on all the “male vitality” pills he’s been scarfing.
That is true. There is no way to tell right now with the open borders Obama has implemented. However, I am hopeful now that the CDC and NIH has been put in their place over their ridiculous protocol fiasco. If I could sum it up, the operative phrase would be “Wash your hands.”
