Reince Priebus is striking a combative tone on immigration, accusing President Barack Obama of lying to Hispanic voters on potential executive action. I dont believe a thing he says on immigration, the Republican National Committee chairman said on CNN on Wednesday evening.
Following the Republican takeover of the Senate and major GOP gains in the House on Election Day, Republican leaders have largely taken a conciliatory tone, vowing to work with the White House and congressional Democrats to break through Washington gridlock. But Priebus escalated the rhetoric and had strong words for the president on immigration, citing his thus far unfulfilled pledges to pass both legislation and executive orders.
On the 2008 campaign trail, Obama pledged to take action on immigration reform in his first year in office. Priebus on Wednesday noted that with a Democratic super majority in the Senate and a majority in the House in his first two years, the president still failed to deliver.
He didnt do a darn thing with his legislative majorities, Priebus said. And all hes been doing for the last year is lying to Hispanic voters across the country.
The RNC chairman also called the presidents recent delay on immigration executive action ridiculous. Earlier this year, Obama delayed executive action until after the midterms in an effort to help insulate red-state Democrats from political pressure on the issue, a move that earned him significant criticism from reform advocates.
Hes not trustworthy on this issue, Priebus added on Wednesday. The only thing he has done is hes unified the country against his immigration policies.
In 2012, Obama issued an executive order to allow hundreds of thousands of undocumented immigrants to stay in the country without the threat of deportation.
Republicans and the White House appear to be gearing up for confrontation on immigration in 2015. GOP lawmakers have mostly criticized a potential Obama executive order as circumventing their constitutional authority. At his White House press conference on Wednesday, Obama said he would take executive action before the end of the year and urged legislative action, as well.
“Priebus on Wednesday noted that with a Democratic super majority in the Senate and a majority in the House in his first two years, the president still failed to deliver.”

Fo sho’. Now, if we can keep him, and the Democrats, in check on Immigration until 2016, the Mexican vote will abandon him like he has Ebola.
Obama lies to most everyone. But don’t most all politicians?
And you are lying to republican voters.
GTH
Obama is lying to everyone.
...and Prince Rebus lies to us,
and all is wrong with the world...
I don’t believe Reince. I think the GOP wants amnesty. They haven’t made up their minds if they want to do it and get credit, or let Obama do it and take the blame. But they do want it.
Job one is removing McConnell as Majority Leader.
Republicans taking a conciliatory stance with the Dems??? What the heck. The Dems should be groveling at McConnell’s feet, fetching coffee and country ham sandwiches. I have never heard of a winner being apologetic for victory.
So if you have a Republican Senator, let him/her know that.
You need to change your tagline because, apparently, practicing it doesn’t seem to apply to you. You seem to have a lot of issues. Consider getting some therapy.
Prince Rebus still thinks he is going to do his amnesty and get the Hispanic vote for Republicans.
Good line...Force the Zero’s hand. It will drive him Bat$hit Crazy.

Well, unfortunately, that is not going to happen. Could you imagine how entertaining it would be if Ted Cruz got to be the SML?
that's a lie. if the GOP wanted Amnesty then why didn't they pass it? Obama has been asking for amnesty.the democrat senate passed an amnesty bill but the simple majority Republican House did not also pass that senate amnesty bill
the GOp has had similar chances to pass amnesty all they way back to 1994. clinton wanted amnesty. Bush pushed for Amnesty. Obama wants amnesty. the democrats want amnesty cause that will give them 40 million new voters. so what's stopping amnesty since 1994? Republcans have stopped amnesty since 1994.
what you say here is ridiculous. NOW you have a dictator Obama on the verge of unconstitutionally passing Amnesty by himself precisely because the Republicans in the House didn't go along with the democrat senate and pass Amnesty. but you have supposedly conservatives here blaming Republicans on the eve of Obama passing amnesty by himself.
so you all blame Republicans for “wanting” amnesty but the are the ones who have actually stopped Amnesty since 1994. and you all have been saying the same thing for the last 10 years that Republicans want amnesty and blaming Republicans even though they never passed amnesty but instead stopped it in all those years.
I gues you'll blame Republicans when Obama passes amnesty by himself . maybe you can use the "logic" that since you think Republicans wanted amnesty so badly they used mind control to force the poor inocent Obama to destroy this country with amnesty

Well, my Senator is Ted Cruz and he’s the one I want for SML. My other Senator, John Cornyn, is a Democrat. (He says he’s not, but, you know what a liar he is.)
Everyone has been saying that zmcConnell wants to compromise with Obama, but he said that if Obama acts unilaterally on immigration, all bets are off. Of course that could mean that he is willing to compromise on immigration after the border is secured and deportation restored, but Obama has been refusing those acts for six years.
Right now, it would take years to deport all the illegal alien offenders thatbObama ha releadrped from prison. I think that should be part of the list od demands before any immigration bill goes forward.
You haven’t been paying attention. The rank and file Repubs are opposed to amnesty, but what we call “GOPe”, the party bosses, do want it. They don’t use the word amnesty but listen to what they say. Its amnesty.
Which is why its not enough to just vote Repub, you have to pay attention and listen between the lines to what these people say.
Cruz, for example, does not favor amnesty. Jeb Bush, on the other hand, does.
The GOP leadership wants amnesty to be sure. They are beholden to the Chamber of Commerce. Probably most GOP Senators want it too, for the same reason. It’s only those pesky conservatives in the House of Representatives who’ve refused to step in lockstep with their leadership.
Obama is about to pass amnesty by himself
funny but I think stopping Obama from passing this amnesty should be priority one.
