...the virtual wipeout of the Democratic talent pool across the country.

That was a talent pool? More like a birdbath if you ask me.

One under-reported result of Tuesday’s election is the fact that Republicans now control over 2/3 of all state legislative chambers, the most since the 1920’s. This is the farm system for future congresscritters, senators and governors. Meaning a far deeper talent pool for the GOP.

I wouldn’t gloat over this too much. Yes, we do have some good up and comers, but what happened in Mississippi shows us that the party isn’t all that eager to groom a new generation, but would rather hang on to those who have nothing to give.

Notice how the only people they are interested for for their talent pool are either black, female, or gay?

So the Democrats were trying to grew the next Obama.

Some candidates whose only asset are their genitals, skin tone, and their sexual perversions?

Nothing more than containers so that they can keep up their “you only oppose this because (insert name here) is a (insert physical or mental trait here)” trope to block opposition of their radical socialism.

Nonsense. The media will find another nonentity, tell ignornat pig-dog US voters that he is Jesus, only better, and the ignorant pig-dog US voter will vote for him.

“Talent”??

How much talent does it take to utter “kill babies; raise taxes; regulate everything out of existence; cut defense; Republicans are racist women-haters; and Green sustainable blah blah blah”

What kind of quality politicians are you going to get when your base is low-info moochers and ignorant/corrupt mega-rich?

Look at the decrepit Democrats in the House and Senate. They are on the way to the cemetery. The younger Leftists are so repugnant, as the vile displays by Occupy Wall St. showed, that they will never be elected to office.

Maybe, just maybe Identity Politics are fading. I would like to hear about candidates beliefs, not their gender, skin color or sexual orientation!

IMO, their biggest problem is that that group represents an EXTREMELY unlikeable bunch of people.

Wish I could say their policies were likewise not liked, but ballot initiatives on hiking the minimum wage and mandating paid sick leave prove otherwise.

The Dem campaign (whether it’s Hillary or Lizzie) will be “put grandma in the White House”

Of course having all the leadership in their 70s will be a big attraction too.

2014 was a great wave for the GOP. No doubt about it. The "anti-Obama" platform worked well for the Pubs, this time.

All these obits for the Democrats are extremely premature. 2016 will be entirely different.

Every presidential year, their base is roused. Many of them are too ignorant to be bothered by mid terms elections, but presidential elections are easy for them to understand. They see Dem candidate as someone with a stash of money, that if they get to the polls and vote for that candidate, they're gonna get some of that stash. That type of motivation is absent in midterms, thus a sizeable chunk of the socialist base (i.e. the Democrat party) doesn't bother to show up.

These Democrat voters (both real and phantom) will be out in force in 2016 to pull the lever for Hillary or whichever Marxist/Alinskyist the Dems/MSM are running. The war on women meme, which some on our side have pronounced defeated, will be resurrected. Race card played again. Massive support from minority groups. It will all be in our face again in 2016, providing unbelievable headwinds for the GOP.

The best way to counter the inevitable Dem tactics is to run a true conservative. I say that because common sense conservatism is the medicine this suffering nation needs at this time if it ever hopes again to lead the world again.

Note to the GOP power brokers: We've tried moderate candidates in the last two presidential elections. How about if we try running a real conservative this time?
