Less than two months after their most joyous moment together, the relationship between the Obama White House and Senate Democrats went off track and has never recovered.
Instead of basking in the victory glow of President Obamas impressive 2012 reelection and an improbable two-seat gain for Democrats, they found themselves at the edge of the now infamous fiscal cliff.
But Reids operation, along with his close ally, Sen. Charles E. Schumer, did not trust Obamas negotiating skills.
At that point, McConnell called Biden and famously asked: Does anyone down there know how to make a deal?
Reid, Schumer and other leaders and their advisers then waited to see the final details, furious that the deal was being made. Democrats leaked stories to The Post, Politico and other outlets about how at one point Reid took an offer that Obama was considering making to McConnell and threw it into the fireplace in his office on the second floor of the Capitol as others watched.
On Tuesday, after Democrats got stomped, the man they feared the most, Mitch McConnell, had the biggest smile of all.
Friends, this experiment in Big Government has lasted long enough. Its time to move in a new direction, he said in claiming victory.

That’s a turkey....................and so are the birds..................
That depends on the MSM. Will they follow suit or defend Obomba until the very end?....................
“Never mind. I just read the article.”
What? We’re expected to read the articles???
Oh some of them will.
Those guys will still have a job, because they no longer pretend that they have any credibility, so no harm in going full lib for the next two years. Obama has no more elections to lie through.
The old-timers will be more forthright because they are almost out the door, dont want their names to be asscoiated with the punk bloggers that are replacing them, and know that the tell-all books will sell millions
He has one in 2016. He'll still have to support the party thru 2017..................
Two Democrat Senators...that should immediately switch their political party affliation to the Republicans...Joe Manchin of West Virgina and believe it or not....Cory Booker of New Jersey!!!
Why? Joe Manchin would become an instant star and powerplayer in the GOP controlled Senate. As, a Democrat, he will always remain at the bottom of the Democrat, Liberal “Totem Pole”!!! As a pubbie, he rockets right up to the head of the class!!! It is truly the move to make, right now!!! As for Cory Booker, a switch to becoming a Republican would instantly make him a “superstar” slated to run for higher office in a “changed” America...as millions of African-Americans turn away from being the chattel slaves of the Obama, Democrat Party. Booker has the moment of a lifetime staring him right in the face. He would be nuts...if he did not make this most positive change right now!!! If he needs prodding to do this, just let him watch what Mia Love and Tim Scott do within the Republican Party....both will be quickly turned into “instant” politically “superstars”!!! Mr, Manchin & Mr. Booker....the politcal face of America has changed, big time......for goodness sake get with the program!!!
One problem with this and it is a huge one, they are liberals. No thanks.
Both Manchin & Booker are moderat liberals with conservative stripes within them!!! they can easily be converted to the conservative fold!!! why? simply because that is the way the country is going in all sectors. Nutcase, Obama has wanted to destroy america...instead he has destroyed himself and the entire Democrat Party!!!

It would save a lot of embarrassment, for me anyway, if FR had a comment “Delete/Edit” function. At least give us users a 30 second window to change our minds after we hit Submit.
I think both the presidential 2008 & 2012 elections were fraudulent along with many of the elections for the House and Senate. I maintain the that federal government is illegitimate and no American needs to respect any of it's edicts.
All my life, I learned that treating people with respect and appreciating what they do for you is conducive to surviving in a hard world.
The Democrats couldn’t do that when times where good and instead of coming together like a family in the face of adversity, they tear each other down and act like they don’t know each other.
I wouldn’t want these people to head my family. Why on earth would I ever want them to head our government?
Not only the EPA. Check this out.
