That's been my thinking for a whole lot of years now, as I've watched the left and right in America develop differences that are irreconcilable.
What little equilibrium that still exists between the two sides will not hold much longer. In fact, it's unraveling day by day.
Soon enough, it'll be dangerous for conservatives to reveal their true political allegiance in liberal areas. The thing is going to break, and when it does, the secession naysayers will be taking a new, and harder look at political separation from the other side.
For myself, I'm glad I got my family out of leftist California nine years ago. We've built a good life in Texas, and we know that when the SHTF, we'll be in one of the safest places in the country to survive it.
The GOP may have won this but there is still a bear 50 50 split in the pop and it’s polarized at the edges and that polarization is growing.
They hate the Constitution. that will never change. They hate Jesusland. That will never change. Eventually bad things will come of it.
