Civil Rights Activists Demand Probe Of Maxine Waters ‘Poverty Pimp’ Posters

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Southland civil rights leaders Monday called for an investigation into what they described as a racially offensive campaign against local Congresswoman Maxine Waters.

Posters featuring a black-and-white illustration of Waters bordered with the words “Poverty Pimp” have been plastered on streets and near freeways and businesses throughout Los Angeles, Inglewood and the South Bay.

KNX 1070’s Claudia Peschiutta reports the ad portrays a wrinkled caricature of Waters depicted with red dollar signs in her eyes and the words “N—-s Betta Have My Money!” behind her.

The ads were captured in images posted online in front of such Southern California landmarks as The Forum and Randy’s Donuts in Inglewood, and even allegedly in front of Waters’ private residence in Hancock Park.

Los Angeles Urban Policy Roundtable President Earl Ofari Hutchinson and other activists began taking down the posters at various locations Sunday and are demanding a “fast track investigation” by the California Fair Political Practices Commission.

“We’re highly offended, we’re disgusted by it, we hope this is not the start of something that we’ll continue to see not only in politics, but beyond in Southern California,” said Hutchinson.

While it’s unknown who is behind the posters, there was no indication Waters’ Republican opponent in Tuesday’s election, political writer John Wood Jr., had anything to do with the campaign.

In response to the report, Wood released the following statement: “All I can say is that, people have a right to free speech, but that I represent a fundamentally different brand of politics. Whatever people think of Maxine Waters, we should try to call attention to our differences and challenge our opponents on them without being disrespectful. That’s really what my campaign has been about.”

There was no immediate response to a request for comment from Waters.

The Democratic lawmaker is up for reelection Tuesday in California’s 43rd District, which includes Inglewood, Hawthorne and Torrance.

“Who wants to bet these were posted by a Democrat organization to stir the race pot and elicit sympathy for Dems? BET THE FARM ON IT.”

Actually, it looks like the work of SABO or one of his minions. He’s the guy who did the Tat Cruz poster, which Cruz liked, and several others that hit libs, particularly Hillary, pretty hard.

I’ve done my part here to prevent offensive postings. Whenever anybody refers to any member of the Obola family, other than one of their dogs, as a dog or a bitch, I immediately call that poster on the carpet for insulting dogs. Congratulations for following similar procedures. We must always maintain our decorum here on FR.

"I thought it was called ‘political satire.’" Lèse-majesté /ˌliːz ˈmædʒɨsti/ (French: lèse-majesté [lɛz maʒɛste]; Law French, from the Latin laesa maiestas, "injured majesty"; in English, also lese-majesty, lese majesty or leze majesty) is the crime of violating majesty, an offence against the dignity of a reigning sovereign or against a state. This behavior was first classified as a criminal offence against the dignity of the Roman Republic of Ancient Rome. In the Dominate, or Late Empire period the emperors eliminated the Republican trappings of their predecessors and began to identify the state with their person.

Ah yes, another black racist/Marxist pops up - Earl Ofari Hutchison. He’s been involved in black extremist groups (Black Radical Congress, for one) and supporter of Communist Party and Workers World Party fronts (ANSWER, IAC, etc).

Thought the red bastard had died. Nope, he pops up like an infested puss pimple in some political capacity in Commiefornia.

He and Maxine the Red belong with each other, in jail.

Actually a good likeness of the SOB on the poster. All she needs is handcuffs and an orange prisoner suit to “make my day”.

The real question is whether she did this personally or got a supporter to do it for her.

THEORETICALLY Speaking ...

Let's just say you decided you wanted to put up some posters... and you didn't want them to be easily removed.

THEORETICALLY Speaking, here is an inexpensive way to make it tough to ever get off.

"Yes, condensed milk is THE S*&% to use when postering. SUPER inexpensive. Just dilute enough to use in a spray bottle, spray the surface, post, spray the front of poster, and wipe with a towel. The S*&% will never come off.

"There are posters in Austin, TX that I put up many years ago that are still lingering.

You know, THEORETICALLY

You beat me to it. Hancock Park is one of 0bama’s favorite parts of LA for his fundraisers. I wonder why 0bama never goes to fundraisers in Maxine Water’s district.

Next time I am in LA I will drive around in Hancock Park and look for Maxine Water’s mansion. Hers is the one with a white faced lawn jockey next to the front driveway.
