The Neenah mail carrier who dumped hundreds of GOP political mailers in an apartment complex Dumpster wasnt politically motivated; the postal worker just didnt feel like delivering the stacks of campaign advertisements, according to preliminary findings from the U.S. Postal Service Office of the Inspector General.
Based upon our investigation, this was nothing done toward a specific candidate or party. It looks like it was a decision made by the carrier, and it was not a good decision, to not deliver the campaign advertisements, Robert Rukes, special agent with the inspector generals office in Chicago, told Wisconsin Reporter Monday.
A lot of times, what happened in this situation, you have a carrier who felt overwhelmed with the volume of mail so they decided to discard some of the mail without delivering, Rukes added.
Due to the ongoing investigation, Rukes declined to identify the mail carrier, who, according to the special agent, dumped 879 pieces of political mail Thursday.
As Wisconsin Reporter first reported Sunday, the political mailings were from the campaigns of Mike Rohrkaste, Republican candidate for Wisconsins 55th Assembly District, and Glenn Grothman, a Republican state senator running for the open 6th Congressional District seat, as well as political messages from a special interest group in support of former state Rep. Roger Roth, a Republican who is running for Wisconsin 19th Senate District seat.
Rukes confirmed that Neenah postal officials responded to the apartment complex and verified the mailers had been unloaded in the Dumpster. A resident had witnessed the mail carrier dump the campaign literature, according to Rukes.
There were no reports that campaign mailers from Democratic Party candidates have been similarly mishandled.

So when does his status change from ‘Just Lazy’ to ‘Just Fired’?
Saturday I received 37 political mailers. This is on expensive thick glossy paper. I just wonder how much it costs to purchase this stuff?
They are wasting million and millions of dollars on these mailers which contain no useful information and nobody reads.
Then I wondered why instead of spreading a fortune paying for the mailers, the political parties don't just buy the printing company?
And I’ll just bet this mail carrier was a registered Republican, right?
They don’t make it easy.
Usually it’s in fractional point font on the mailer, visible with an electron microscope (I’m exaggerating a little) or there is info on the circular company’s web site (if you can figure out what it is). Once you make the request, it takes something like 10 weeks (not an exaggeration), supposedly because mailers are printed and staged months in advance.

“When they put a stamp on it it became a FEDERAL OFFENSE”
So how much time should this X WORKER get for TAMPERING WITH THE US MAIL!
Voting machines changing Republican votes to democrat - check
Mail carrier throwing away multiple Republican mailers but not a single democrat mailer - check
But, not a smidgen of corruption.
BULL - DUNG!!!
I spent 10 years with the USPS. They clobbered US with “political” mail ALL year long - from our UNION.
You’ll never guess - DEMOCRAT party propaganda.
Sure, in a just world. In this reality, he'll get a bump from GS-7 to GS-12.
this one could be in the courts for DECADES!!
Mail is pre-sorted by address before it ever goes on the mail truck. This carrier could not have been the only one involved, somebody responsible for the sorting by address had to hold these back purposefully and the carrier then unloaded them into a dumpster on his route.
It would be interesting to see if there are any addressed to areas outside of the carrier’s route, to addresses that he doesn’t deliver to.
A little late pinging this, but I think this qualifies as the lie of the week. If it was just laziness, why weren’t there any Democrat mailings dumped?
FReep Mail me if you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list.
“If it was just laziness, why werent there any Democrat mailings dumped?”
Or grocery coupons. pizza coupons? What BS!
Lazy = democrat
Newman would.
Those mail flyers are a waste of money, as they end up in the trash...that money would be better spent somewhere else.
No, he was selectively lazy.
You're right as rain on this one...
Newman...
Less campaign mail in my box?
At this point I’d give him a medal.
