I hear ya, but if you saw it done, you’d be a believer! There was no hesitation, the ship hit a spot and started to spin in place, took maybe 1.5 minutes. I am sure the entire process was under computer control, surely inclusive of wind effects. I would wager that the ship’s nav system has a computer subroutine that can spin the ship around with no more than a 10 foot variance at either end, at the push of a button. I tried to talk to the captain about it, it didn’t seem like he thought it was any kind of big deal to miss those jetties by what seemed like 25 feet at each end!
