Our kids are enrolled in a local church school, tuition is around $5k each. We give up a lot of luxuries, I drive a 10 year old car, etc. Oh, and I took a second, part time job. We are not well off by any means, we live paycheck to paycheck. Point being that I've heard so many people say they can't afford that have a much higher income. I think many parents are just unaware how their children are being indoctrinated or are just too lazy to do anything about it.

As for home school, that probably wouldn't work as I really struggle helping them with just their homework! I would make a poor educator, academic-wise!

I think you’d make a great homeschooler. Teachers who learn with their students are often the favorite teachers. There are plenty of online and other resources, and people who can correspond with you.

Besides, no one would have more of an impact than you. YOU. The time you’d spend with your child as opposed to on a part-time job would be well worth it for you both.
