There is no clearer evidence that Obama’s heart is not in the fight against the Islamic State than the dangerous limitations he has placed on our military commanders in the field. The Islamic State has attracted Jihadis from all around the world. They have committed unspeakable atrocities against Christians and Muslims alike. And they have threatened the US and our allies. It is only a matter of time before they escalate and broaden their war against the civilized world. Yet Obama dithers and prevaricates . He is putting every single one of us in danger.
LBJ II
This is the same thing that screwed us in Vietnam - Johnson and McNamara were picking targets from the basement of the Whitehouse.
Hey, Obama is just like Hitler in micromanaging the military, only dumber and more psychotic.
This kind of micromanagement gets US warriors killed. It is founded in principles of political risk aversion rather than battlefield success. The comparison to LBJ nails it. Furthermore, the stance this administration takes vis-à-vis allies or potential allies reinforces just how dangerous it is to befriend the US. If in doubt, go back through our history of foreign affairs for the last century. Still fresh in my mind is how we abandoned our allies in Vietnam, leaving the South Vietnamese to fend for themselves and at the same time condemning our Montagnard friends to genocide at the hands of the NVA.
If you are pro-war, always think about who is executing that war before you stare your position.
All our military heroes who gave their lives, were maimed, injured in defense of freedom in the middle east and how did the majority of the American people thank them? By making the enemy their commander in chief who not surprisingly threw away everything they sacrificed for. Probably the most disgusting thing this country has ever done when it comes to the military and why I will never ever have any respect for someone who voted for this Islamic piece of rat slime posing as our POTUS.
The objectives are different between the White House and the military. The former wants to bring the USA to its knees.
I don’t believe any Democrat Administration has been able to even half ass manage a war or major conflict since FDR. (Truman essentially took over FDR’s Administration for the remainder of WWII)
Obama hates the military - looks like they’re even...
if they pulled the leash over a tree limb nd yanked it hard, the military problem would be solved.
leashes can be pulled in two directions
Hitler was still in his bunker planning new offensives with his phantom armies while Berlin was falling.
People need to realize that Obama's 2009 Cairo Speech was an all out attack on America, the West, Israel, and Christianity.
Obama GAVE PERMISSION to the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, and what became ISIS to launch violent revolution throughout the Middle East. He would secretly fund, support, and aid their conquest and slaughter.
Obama WANTS the Caliphate, because he WANTS to destroy Israel.
God has other plans.
When Israel strikes back at her enemies, and they are given under the hand of the Jews and they break like waves on the water, then the world will shake its fist in frustration and tremble in fear.
Obama is cursed by God.
Obama doesn’t want to defeat them, he wants to manage them.
He is just using the US military to solve a PR problem.
Apparently they don’t hate him enough.
Sadly nothing new here. Truman did this in the Korean War, and LBJ and his rat thugs did it during the Nam war as noted below:
Outspoken, revered Vietnam fighter pilot Jack Broughton dies at 89

As a combat pilot, Air Force Col. Jack Broughton was celebrated for bravery and tactical brilliance during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He received promotions and important assignments and seemed headed to become a general.
But a high-profile court-martial during the Vietnam War for allegedly violating the rules of engagement that ruled certain targets off limits ended his career.
After leaving the Air Force, Broughton was free to speak out about what he saw as the incompetence of President Lyndon Johnson and Defense Secretary Robert McNamara in micromanaging the war. Pilots couldn’t bomb an enemy outhouse without their approval, Broughton once complained.

In a modern era where political and military objectives are intermixed, Broughton was “something of an anachronism. A swashbuckling skyjock of the old school, he wanted nothing more than to roll out his fighter jet every day and ‘go to work,’” David Gelman, who covered the Vietnam War for Newsday, wrote in his review of “Going Downtown.”

In June 1967, as the war intensified, a pilot under Broughton’s command told him that he may have fired at a Soviet freighter in the North Vietnamese port of Cam Pha while attacking an anti-aircraft site. The Soviet Union complained bitterly to Washington.
To protect his pilots from criticism by civilian and military officials far removed from the realities of the war, Broughton ordered the destruction of the gun-camera film so that no evidence could exist.

“It seemed to be that the whole world was out of focus,” Broughton later wrote. “Old friends were turning against us and common sense was not to be found.”
