By RYAN PARKER Three children were killed when they were hit by a car while trick-or-treating in O.C.; driver fled scene Three teenage girls were killed by a hit-and-run driver Friday evening while they were trick-or-treating in Santa Ana, police said.
The three were struck by a driver "going at a high rate of speed" while they were in a crosswalk in the area of Old Grand Street and Fairhaven Avenue, near Fairhaven Elementary School, said Anthony Bertagna, a spokesman for the Santa Ana police.

My prediction is that Neel Kashkari (did I also mention that he says he voted for Obama?), that Neel Kashkari will set a record low for getting Republican votes for Governor.
And the Cal GOPe will find some way to blame that on conservatives.
When I moved to OC in the late 60s Santa Ana had a long established black population. Small but they had been there a long time. I doubt that there are many left, they’ve been shoved out by Mexico. That’s pretty much what is happening in LA’s South Central as well.
Santa Ana may as well be Mexico. The LA/OC region is one of the biggest cities of Mexico. We just pretend to be part of the USA.

Creepy cars! We need to outlaw private ownership of cars. Only police and military need them. The government should be all too happy to provide public transportation for free.

Likely he was in a hurry speeding from one voting booth to the next to cast his vote(s) and didn't have time to stop.
That happened to a buddy of mine in Phoenix. The illegal stopped after running into his car, my buddy grabbed him, they were “negotiating” a cash settlement on the spot, but a bystander called the cops.
As soon as the illegal heard the sirens, he managed to bolt away. The 200 dollar car he left behind wasn’t much compensation.

Also Friday night, authorities in Washington state said two 7-year-old girls and a 20-year-old woman sustained life-threatening injuries when they were hit by a car while trick-or-treating in Vancouver.
The Columbian reported that police said a car jumped a curb and hit the trio.
A 33-year-old woman with them and the car’s 47-year-old driver, who remained at the scene, had less serious injuries.
In New York state, a 3-year-old boy was killed and a 16-year-old girl was seriously injured Friday night when they were hit by a car while trick-or-treating. The car struck the children as they crossing a two-lane road in Greece at about 9:40 p.m., police said. They said the driver is cooperating in the investigation and has not been charged.
A 2-year-old in Florida died when he was hit by a bus Friday evening. He was in a stroller with two other children when the adult pushing them across a street realized he had dropped his cellphone. The man stopped the stroller in the median and told the children to stay while he retrieved the phone. The child got out the stroller and was hit by a driver who did not see him in the street, authorities said.

In another tragic Halloween incident from last night, a 65-year old man and a 4-year old relative were both hit by a car in Irvine while trick-or-treating. The 65-year old man was killed and the 4-year old is listed in critical condition. In that incident, the woman driving stopped her car, but City News Service reports she will not face criminal charges.
Really shows parents or someone else responsible need to be supervising the kids, people need to be well seen. I have no idea if last Halloween was this bad, when I was growing up, I think the danger was thought of having one's food poisoned, things like that.

Me either. Kashkari is one of the most cynical choices pushed on us by the GOP establishment. A Hindu social leftist and Goldman Sachs alum who ran the TARP program, ladling out a fortune in taxpayer cash to his former Wall Street associates.
I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the GOPe was grooming Kashkari to be their own Obama, a socially progressive offspring of the third world that they can run for President. The GOPe can be counted on to embrace the worst ideas of the Democrat left.
When Tea Party favorite Tim Donnelly was running against Kashkari in the primary GOPe mouthpieces Karl Rove, Hugh Hewitt and Michael Medved were denouncing Donnelly as being a threat to Republican chances nationwide. In contrast Kashkari is their idea of a great candidate. From wiki:

Thanks. Appaerently the driver had a registered car, but no drivers’s license. I guess that they don’t give licenses to illegals in CA?
