By John McCrank

(Reuters) - Wells Fargo (WFC.N) is closing down its alternative trading system, or "dark pool," due to decreased customer demand, the company said on Thursday.
The San Francisco-based bank will still offer its clients a full suite of electronic trading tools to help them execute orders, but will stop offering access to the company's dark pool on Friday, a spokeswoman from the bank told Reuters.

After having them loose paperwork six times and nearly taking my house because someone went on vacation I don’t think I would trust them to go get my mail. And that is less than a hundred foot walk.
Would also like to say I do phone in payments with them every month at a cost of twenty dollars so I can get a operator name and number in case I have to sue them. Been doing it for over four years.
I can understand why they have no demand.
lol. You could have just done it online and printed the confirmation page. you’ve wasted soooooo much money.
I’m glad I cut all ties with WF about 6 years ago. Don’t regret it at all.
I would rather have the phone listed that I called them. When ever I deal with them I log in the date time length of call who I talked to by name and operator number what was discussed and note any paperwork that is suppose to be sent. These guys are that bad.
It took two and a half hours to tell the comptroller of the currency what Wells Fargo was doing. In twenty minutes I Gotha call back from the comptroller saying the matter was taken care of. This was after nearly a year I crap from wells Fargo. I am sure if they tied something to there hand they would not be able to find it.
A little weekend reading.
Racists.
I agree, they should close the White Pool or the Illegal Pool =]
In the Top5 GLTG corporations .....
Wells Fargo
The original gay-friendly corporation and mega-bank Wells Fargo started sponsoring gay pride parades in San Francisco in 1992. This year, the much-maligned corporation will sponsor at least 20 Pride parades, according to the company blog. Wells Fargo has a long history of equitable practices, extending the same rights to homosexual partners as everyone else, when it comes to banking, and donating
Apparently theyre focus is elsewhere
What the heck is a dark pool anyway?
sounds dirty
Wells Fargo also has the worst customer service in America now that they have edged out Comcast
I left Wells about the same time frame - neither do I regret it.
Oh lord man. You want to do things the hard way (and expensive) then that’s all on you. It’s not the banks fault that you don’t know how to use a computer to make payments online.
It is the banks fault for loosing paperwork because they send the wrong fax number on the paper work. It is the banks fault for losing a check when some one goes on vacation. Even after we tell them who has the check. It is the banks fault hat they can not even locate a copy of paper work they sent us. Even after we tell them the tracking code on it.
Should I go on with how incompetent they are?
I am not worried about twenty dollars a month. That is change compared to how much it will cost when they take my house because of their mistake. Twenty dollars is worth the piece of mind of knowing I have several ways to back up a payment history.
You seem to think I am stupid because I don’t went to use my computer to make a payment. Keep you better than those attitude to yourself. You look like a pompus ass because some one does not want to do something your way.
Stupid damned auto correct.
I can just work the twelve minutes to earn the twenty dollars. Not really a big deal.
Pay online. Print the confirmation #.
It’s not that hard.
****What the heck is a dark pool anyway?****
Based on personal experience; it is where they bury IRA funds and prevent senior citizens from accessing THEIR OWN MONEY.
Stay away from WF annuities. Keep your $$ in accessible mutual funds or FDIC insured products. Look it up online.
I actually pay them late, directly from my bank so they have a record when they contact me. It costs less than the 20 dollar phone call
