TRENTON — There are “approximately 100” people in New Jersey who are under “active monitoring” for Ebola, although no one has shown symptoms of having contracted the potentially deadly virus, a spokeswoman for the state Health Department confirmed tonight.

Newark Liberty International Airport is one of five airports in the nation accepting travelers from the three West African countries hardest hit by the virus. Those countries are Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia. John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York is the second closest airport.

Interesting that a single state admits to having so many.

Don't be surprised after the elections...all hell breaks loose.

The establishment rinos - like Christie - are chomping at the bit to exact their version of liberty on the proletariat. No relief come Tuesday. We are FUBAR.

What is “monitoring” as defined by these incompetent government workers? I bet it is “Call us when you get ebola”. Clown Prince nobala’s “transformation” of America is continuing very, very well.

Interesting. ‘Active monitoring’ means a State Employee (usually State Police, I imagine) per individual or household. Aside from my mantra that this is all a distraction, I wonder at what point the logistics of this become too great to continue to accede to his Puppetness and unilaterally (again) stop the insanity (the inflow of potentially-infected)...

NYC 117 and NJ 100 ... those are quite the "lists of suspects".

So ... they beg these questions:

1) precisely what criteria was used to place people on the list ?

2) what legal authority does NY and NJ have to even compile such a list ?

3) what legal authority does NY and NJ have to "quasi-arrest" these people ?

4) shouldn't the PUBLIC be provided ALL the names on these lists, to ensure that "members of the public" weren't exposed to the "list people" by accident ?

5) where the HELL is the ACLU / NOW / Southern Poverty Law Center (ad nauseum) on all of this ???

Yeah, and what criteria exists for expanding those lists???

“Subject 55 kissed a female in a bar”

“Subject 21 had an UNSUB leave their dwelling after an overnight”

“Subject 5 used public restroom at location ABC”

etc., etc...

I wouldn’t take to kindly to being followed simply for having casual contact with someone what was suspected by the State of being exposed to a contagion. Neither would I take to kindly to not being informed as such.

STOP THE VISAS and shutter travel from affected African countries and examine/quarantine them OVER THERE.

They are not medical professionals. “These are individuals who had no direct contact to Ebola patients.

IOW, they are Duncans who are allowed to go bowling and pick up soup but are given a card with a phone number to call if they start spewing.

And yet, there’s still no moves to restrict travel from the Ebola-infested countries.

If a quarantine saves just one child's life, it's worth it.

Bring out your dead! The Dark Man cometh! Bring out your dead! The Dark Man cometh! Bring out your......

(Since all records of obama's past were lost in a tragic boating accident and fire, no one can be certain that the guy in the red circle isn't him...)

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...
