Many years ago I testified before a House committee on research funding. My testimony was scheduled the day after election day, which happened to bring a heavy Republican victory. The place was a madhouse, because the aides and staffers to the Democrats who had lost would soon be out of jobs. The way they were running around made me thing of an ant hill that someone had kicked over. My testimony was almost anticlimactic, because most of the staffers no longer cared. They had bigger problems. However, their problems made me feel good.

But their leadership promised living wages, free health care, affordable housing for all, and practically guaranteed basic income. They had 6 years and an unlimited budget to implement it. What could they possibly be worried about?

Only problem with that statement is that everyone knows this is hyped to get the dems to go vote. All those dem staffers looking for jobs will get calls from the incoming GOPe RINOs who will snap up the most experienced/connected ones. Then the dems will have people on the inside with clear access to everything the republicans are planning to do. The dems and GOPe work together. The conservatives in Congress seriously need to watch their backs.

They’ll all be re-hired by the GOP winners. No money savings at all.

I’ll wait till next Wednesday, but if as expected the GOP takes control of the Senate (and expands its House #s) I will cheer. Most of these staffers are worse than their bosses.

The birds will sing and the skies will be blue when all ideologues from both parties and all unionized affirmative-action bureaucrats from every agency not specifically mentioned in the Constitution are fired and replaced by no one ...

They probably have sweet pensions and no Obamacare we will be paying for for life. Better take a look there.

Actually not only should there be hill firings but with an administration change every fed employee should be asked to hand in resignation. And if they don’t,lay them off.

Back in 2004 my coworker’s sister worked at the county ODOT facility. In conversation the sis told me she was a democrat but was voting for Bush. When I asked why she said when a new party is elected, they all lose their jobs. She got what she wanted...

Not to worry.....There will be plenty of newly elected faux Republicans/RINOs willing to hire out of work “experienced” staffers!

Republicans will get to hire hundreds more aides. (six figures)
They should hire us! Think of it as "reparations".
With an army of FReepers in Congress, the RINOs' lives would be a living hell.
