AeroMobil. Beautiful flying car. Beautifully integrated. Transforms in seconds from an automobile to an airplane. Gives you freedom to move.
AeroMobil is a flying car that perfectly makes use of existing infrastructure created for automobiles and planes, and opens doors to real door-to-door travel. As a car it fits into any standard parking space, uses regular gasoline, and can be used in road traffic just like any other car. As a plane it can use any airport in the world, but can also take off and land using any grass strip or paved surface just a few hundred meters long.

Lost some friends in early 80’s.
One to freak accident in Eagle ultralight- at a flying school.
This was the Ultalight with the canard wing.

Another friend bought an Ultralight off the lot- never flew before- lasted 18 months, then wing folded at 3000 ft.

If you want to give an Aviation Ping, just add the keyword “aerospace” to the article.

Thanks for posting a picture of my first flying car. Guess it’s time to upgrade. ;) The Navy had a prototype aircraft that was similar, but with twin tractor props, nicknamed the flying pancake.

Pretty cool.

On the road, though, it looks to be about as long as my long bed crew cab pickup truck.

PS - I want one.

I find it a little disturbing that they didn’t list useful load...that’s a pretty important piece of info to leave out of the specs.

My uncle was Dewey Bryan: http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/aviation/diy-flying/top-10-attempts-to-build-a-flying-car-7#slide-7

He lived in Michigan and the frozen lake in front of his house was his airport. He died at the Oshkosh airshow in ‘74.

He also invented the Vertibird and made the mistake of showing it to Matel and never got a dime when they said they weren’t interested.

Please note that neatly barbered and shaved American Men wore coats, ties, and jaunty hats in those far-off days. Neither fellow has a tattoo showing, nor the standard-issue Wal-Mart potbelly. The passenger is lighting a pipe, for gosh sakes.

Today, both of these fellows would be wearing spandex in mismatched pastel shades, be riding in diverse car pool in a Prius on their way to a mandatory HR Seminar on Gay Marriage, How the Company will Cope with Global Warming, selecting a diverse group to attend the Mike Brown Funeral in Ferguson, and making obligatory donations to Democrat candidates.
