One gives them a 'report card' on their prior voting history -- most are deemed 'average' -- while the other suggests the voter in question would be surveyed as to whether or not they cast a ballot in this year's general election.

...said First Vice Chair Patsy Keever. 'We will continue to look for every way possible to empower, educate, and encourage voters for the remainder of this election cycle.'

Even if that actually means browbeat, intimidate, deceive, extort, or pay off voters because of what this means to her.

. Known as 'voter shaming' or 'social pressure,' the tactic first emerged widely in 2012,"

Ummm... tactic such as this is in and have been in the Union arsenal for many years, well before 2012.

Typical: Call base as an "independent pollster" to ask who they support. Use the result for future knocks on the door. If the poll answer was not in the right direction, the knock on the door might be a very Hard knock. Hate for anything bad to happen to that door!

The GOPe has been attempting to use voter shame for the last two election cycles at least. You see it right here on freep even now. If you don’t get to the polls and vote for their RINOs, you voted to put xyz (in this case, Obama) into office.

This isn’t “shaming”.

This is intimidation.

'If you do not vote this year, we will be interested to hear why not,' the letter says.

"We'll be watching you for other signs of deviancy, Comrade," it continues. "We'd hate to see that building permit you applied for last month be denied, or have any trouble with those delinquent tax records..."

The GOPE is doing the same darn thing! We got one in yesterday's mail saying conservatives staying home in 2012 were responsible for Obama’s re-election.

DemRATs lost the moral authority to shame anyone when for years they preached the virtue of killing domestic unborn to control population only to throw open the doors to unlimited undocumented immigration.
