Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel has ordered all military personnel returning from Ebola response missions in West Africa to be kept in a 21-day quarantine.
Hagel signed the order Wednesday morning, according to the Pentagon, accepting a recommendation from the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Ya, what’s going on?
We have a quarantine for military, but a liberal nurse, who has a big mouth and a big attorney, is exempt????
Military = bad, might vote GOP.
Third world civilians = good, will definitely vote Democrat.
Ask the brass...where they intend to house these guys, what installation...what huts...what they will do daily for 21 days...and what support structure will they allow? Want to bet they are in the BX by day three, and sipping beer in the NCO club by day seven?
It’s the most bogus thing I’ve seen in years. I watched it for twenty-two years and know how things get ordered and how things get screwed up. This is prime for screw-up.
And the pilots that fly into each zone? Will the AF pilots on each trip....end up in a 21-day quarantine? They will laugh when you even suggest that....to the general’s face.
Again...Does NOT compute!
What we won’t hear from our brave troops who are being used as Valerie Jarrets and Susan Rices’ toy soldiers:
“That’s not faaiiir! There isn’t any risk!!!! Whaaaa! I want soup! I want my right to go bowling!”
That is an interesting thought; might it become difficult or impossible for the deployed military in the hot zone to vote next week? Or would they have already done so, I wonder.
Emperor won’t like it. Sent some centurions over to change that petty general’s mind.
The funny thing is this will decrease Obama’s popularity, since it will remind people he is either winging it, or trying to hurt America.
We are all in a SpongeBob episode.
Did Hagel and the generals “go rogue” on this?
Oh, this is just rich!
This way, if the Ebola thing takes off here, “O” can always say the military he sent to Ebola stricken areas did not bring Ebola back here AND it was not a mistake to send them.
His policy will look like it was a success ... even though it is not and could never be the appropriate response to Ebola in Africa.
Once again, grandstanding at the expense of the US military... an organization “O” has traveled the globe defaming since BEFORE he was ‘elected’!
See how that works?!
It’s the old Liberal fixation about demanding and GETTING it both ways!
I surprised.
This will thwart the Won’s plan to spread the Big E around the country with returning vets.
Hagel will be taken to the woodshed.
Are even the demRats understanding that his plans to sink the country are finally reaching the bridge too far - as it will also take THEM and THEIR families down?
FALSE
Don't fall for this canard! they'd LOVE for us to appose this - as the WON's plans to spread the Big E across the country via returning soldiers will b e thwarted with the quarantine.
They are building facilities AND testing blood!!!
Get it yet?
Being in contact with 'ebola blood' is just as dangerous as testing patients directly.
Get the word out -
That’s a surprise. Hagel is among my least favorite Democrats, but here he is, SecDef, going against the policy decreed by Dear Leader Obama. I didn’t think Hagel had it in him.
People in the military work and sleep in some pretty tight spaces. In this case they are right in the middle of the hot zone. Plus who knows what other nasties they might come down with. I am guessing the soldiers at least need to have their temperature monitored by medical professionals an quarantining them is the easiest way to do it. I'd
Um... Actually Hagel is an R.
