I’m up against it here... PaDad approaches “bad times” from a 100% religious pov. He (and his brother who is a lay minister) are of total Biblical mindset of belief. “Prepping” by me has become a sore point (and I have NOT done much—fiances don’t permit a lot of “extras” right now.). I walk a tight rope (by his assessment of my OWN making).
I hope yinz CAN make your moves...my dream (prepping not withstanding) has ALWAYS been to move out last Ligionier...maybe into Somerset county. I love the Laurel Highlands area. But northern PA has tons of open forest!
