The dead guy vote always gets me.

First, for early voting states...there’s always the possibility of two-hundred folks from that state having a heart-attack or car accident from early voting to final vote. I can understand this and grasp it.

Then, you have the guys who passed away nine months ago and the county clerk mailed them their absentee ballot (just like the year before), and the nephew or wife votes with the ballot.

Then, you have the county that hasn’t updated their listing in five years, and someone has shown up yearly to vote as a four-year-old dead guy.

The topping on the cake is that you can even have a dead voter voting for a dead candidate.

That adds some perspective to it all.

I’m glad about the states that require a picture ID now to vote.
