Politically, I am Through with Sarah Palin

It’s time for a break up.

If you haven’t already seen, Sarah Palin has endorsed Bill Walker and Byron Mallott’s Independent-Democrat “Unity” ticket in the Alaska gubernatorial race over Republican incumbent Sean Parnell. She endorses the Independent-Democrat ticket over the man who was her own lieutenant governor.

Because of this, as far as Republican politics are concerned, I’m finished with Sarah Palin. I have nothing but respect for her has a wife, mother, and grandmother. I pray that, should I ever be faced with the prospect of having to raise a child with Down Syndrome or any other disability, I would have the wisdom to make the kind of decision she made with Trig and that I could bear that cross so gracefully. I must also add, in light of recent events, that I find the media’s treatment of the family brawl despicable, and unlike Carroll Costello, I find assault no laughing matter.

The one big beef I have had with her is that she didn’t tell them to FOAD after they used her like trash. But that’s her call. I too wish she would leave that diseased party and be the leader she is.

It will be interesting to watch the Party First fairweather friends bail on her though. Dead wood should be cleared before 16.

I don’t always agree with her but I have a strong enough character that I don’t need to attack her over such minor disagreements.

Take your Grown Up thoughts and scoot!

This isn't the place for that!

Can't win for losing, With Mr. GOP here in Kansas Pat Roberts Sarah was accused of Being GOP-E. Now a a backstabber.

Sheesh.

“I don’t know enough about Alaska politics to understand her endorsement. But I am not through with Sarah due to an endorsement.

She’s made lots of endorsements of candidates. I can’t say that I always know who they are in different states.

I guess I don’t understand breaking up politically with Sarah due to one endorsement”
AGREE

if I trusted her to be president I can certainly trust her on this.

This defines the RED STATE as a proObama, proSOROS
and proROMNEY group.
Nothing conservative about any of them.

Fairweather Frauds KC. They are exactly why America is what it has become.

I love this. She makes them haZ a sad that the Blessed RINO can’t give Alaska’s resources away to the cronys who in turn use them to fund Democtats.

Palin is a realist. She is also a strong conservative voice. She could see her “national” political opportunity window has closed. She did the smart thing for her family by capitalizing on her name while is was profitable.

Taking a public stand in her home state is her business and one she clearly knows well considering her previous being opposed to some of the Alaska GOP Good Ol Boy things. No need in trying to banish her for that.

The longer she stay out of the arena, the more influence she will lose.

Are you saying that unless she is a candidate, she has less influence? Just askin'...

“being opposed to some of the Alaska GOP Good Ol Boy things. “

Thats WHY the PDS is rampant in the ‘Right’. She upheld conservative principles and that is ‘purist’ Ergo, it’s ‘bad’.

She could walk the walk by going against Murkowski.

If she’s against them, there’s probably a good reason!

That's the bottom line as far as I am concerned.

Oh but she DID! And the GOP abandoned their own guy to back their lost comrade! How soon we forget.

I understand that the CBC (Corrupt Bastards Club) is back and Parnell is in their pocket. Palin delivered a knockout blow to the CBC and sent several of them to jail, beat the oil companies in court and made them start paying the royalties they owed per the state Constitution and now Parnell has turned that all around and has taken the state back to the corrupt pre-Palin days. Obviously she sees that Parnell, in the end, can not be trusted and has likely been corrupted, thus she will not endorse him. It shows again how much character she has. As far as Red State goes, they are really just dailykos for right wing purists, and most of their commentators have hated Palin for a very long time. It is a site that is made to be an echo-chamber for like minded people, actual debate is discouraged, tow the line or you’re out, simple as that.

So true. Alaska is a very very weird state politically. Makes Louisiana look normal by comparison. And a lot of the strangeness has to do with crony oil deals.

Her future was launched by fighting just that. She had to do this. It’s very consistent with her past. I wonder if the Red State author has ever been to Alaska or knows anything about it.

It looks like Murkowski may be her own worse enemy inside Alaska and needs no Palin attacks, until she is up for re-election in 16.

If you listen carefully the sound you will not hear is her uncontrollable sobbing about Jake breaking up with her. She chose principle over party, get rid of a Rino.

I’m still a fan.

Alaska has a long history of corruption. Sarah Palin was not one of the corrupt and she has a long history of fighting the corruption be they Republican or Democrat. She made many enemies in Alaska on the left and the right.

I trust her judgement.

I do think that is happening.

I thought she was SMART to stay out of the fray as a private citizen, but I think that has run it’s course.
