A nurse who caught Ebola while caring for the patient diagnosed in Dallas was released from a hospital Friday, free of the virus, and was to meet later in the day with President Barack Obama at the White House.
Nurse Nina Pham said she felt "fortunate and blessed to be standing here today," as she left the National Institutes of Health's hospital outside Washington.

Good!! Great to hear.
Congrats to her. She was the only recent patient who did the right thing. Turned herself in at the hint of illness. Selfless. She must be a wonderful nurse. Continued health to her.
Great news that she’s recovered from this strain.
of course she's going to be okay....maintain hydration, correct electrolyte imbalances, and you can get over a virus...
plus she got preferential treatment becuz she's Viet Namese....not like the poor black African who was thrown out on the street and ignored.../sarcasm/
Hasn't the poor lady suffered enough.
Fabulous news.
No need to politicize it, just celebrate it.
Drudge had “Meets with Obama in Oval Office” pics with Nina Pham.
Of course, I guess any vaccine available would have been given to the President, don’t you think, when he went to Mandela funeral....if E bola was an issue in Africa then?
She did it right. The guy in NYC went bowling and rode subway the day before admitting to hospital...strange.
Good news.
Can’t you just be happy that she’s okay? sheeesh
Since she is cured, she had to thank the ONE most involved PERSONALLY. It is expected, after all, Obama, blessed be HIS name..
Basically "By the second week of the infection, the patient will either experience a full recovery or undergo systemic multiorgan failure." (https://microbewiki.kenyon.edu/index.php/Infection_Mechanism_of_Genus_Ebolavirus). Hydration and electrolytes are important but developing antibodies is critical.
She’s pretty hot too. Has that cute dog.
If she plays this right, she could make some good money on this. A book deal would be easy, TV appearances, perhaps a reality TV show? I hope her first phone calls after leaving the hospital was to a lawyer, and then an agent. I know it sucks, but that’s one of the only ways for some people to get ahead in this shallow and pathetic world anymore...
The first thing they do is haul her over to Obola for an obligatory photo op.
She looks less than thrilled to be in his presence.
uh huh, she never had Ebola. If you read that story about a nurse in Africa that had Ebola, the patient has to wait 21 days from the time they improved.
Manufactured in Dallas Obola BS. Nobody would get out of their bed that quick if they had the common flu or a house cold.
I can’t believe people are falling for this crap!
This great news!
But I wonder - does anyone really know if she had ebola in the first place? It’s been said many times that the symptoms are quite similar to other common viruses, at least at the onset.
Ebola is not 100% fatal. 20 or 30% survive, even if Africa, so if Ms. Pham in fact had ebola there always was a chance she would have survived anyway.
The cynical side of me wonders if it’s a setup to placate the masses for the upcoming elections. Okay, tin foil hat off now...
I suppose this was intended to make America feel safe now.
I would vomit in his presence with or without ebola - but maybe the threat of another 21 days in bed kept it down!
In previous outbreaks, the fatality rate for Ebola has ranged between 25% and 90%, typically averaging around 50%. Worth noting that most (all?) previous outbreaks have occurred in Africa - I suspect that the fatality rate will be much lower for people who develop symptoms here, with near-immediate access to first-world care.
