Germany will get an early Christmas present of around 779 million from the EU, thanks to weaker than expected GDP growth.
It will receive the rebate on its contributions to the European Union on December 1st, while Britain will have to pay 2.1 billion on the same day.
The British economy is growing much faster than the others, and the logic is the same as with tax: if someone earns more, they pay more tax, EC spokesman Patrizio Fiorilli told AFP.

Britain just got a bill of 1.7 million Euros (or pounds, I’m not certain) from the EU for above-average growth. So, on balance, the UK will pay Germany.
Make sense?
people still don’t get it.....union is the key word...
we pay the kitty too...via import and export taxes.
Poor economic growth reduces climate change.
Of course they are being rewarded!
Britain still uses pounds sterling (£). The amount they had to pay in that currency was £1.7 billion, which is the same as the 2.1 billion cited in the article. The EU has been pressuring the UK to abandon the pound and surrender to the euro, but so far the UK has held firm.
The majority of Germans did not want the euro, and they still want the Deutsche mark back.
Why on earth would the UK want to belong to an organization that penalizes success and rewards failure ?
A quick google search turned up the numbers for 2011, when Germany paid in roughly 20 bn while the UK paid in 11 bn.

I'd be surprised if the more current numbers are vastly different, and speaking of "an early Christmas present" is simply adding insult to injury.
lol
they get a little of their own money back, oh joy, there will celebration in the street.... we weren’t robbed as badly as expected... party time.
See my post #8.
Surpressing relevant facts = lying by omission.
Make sense?
Well, does it?
Thanks, you GOT it. The propagandists will always tell you to NOT look behind the curtain...
That said - disclaimer! - the sooner the current EU structure is destroyed, the better!
I wonder what the left-wing Manchester Guardian left out, never mind what Brussels left and leaves out (especially under Maoist Barroso).
Neither the Guardian nor Brussels can be relied upon to be factual.
bump
You do not like the source so you dispute the information? Like I posted, I just did a quick google search, and that was fairly at the top so I used it.
If you have a more reliable source that negates those numbers, please post it. I wasn’t bothered to dig deeper for other sources or the 2013 numbers, so feel free to do so and educate us how what I posted was all lies.
