Thank you all for your prayers and support. I do believe that your prayers, and the prayers of others for me have a
great deal of influence with my prognosis. Words cannot express how grateful I am for every prayer you say for me.

Actually, my appointment with the oncologist went well. She was very pleased with the results of all my tests and
said that I am in great shape for my age and that my heart is very healthy.

She (Dr. Lu) and my primary oncologist/surgeon (Dr. Murray) and the Hospital Board did a “House” on me with all
my records, and they decided that I am an excellent candidate for successful surgery and recovery.

I am meeting with Dr. Murray on Monday for scheduling the surgery, and I have a few more tests tomorrow, so I’ll
be gone all day, spending my time chatting with Bryan at Akron General Hospital. Just my cup of tea!

With Bryan driving me to the hospital every other day**, we’ve gotten to spend a lot of time together, laughing and
a bit of talking and reminiscing about lots of stuff that we’ve been through over our nearly 42 years of being the best
of friends.

** Exaggerating - It’s only a couple of times a week. ;-)
