You mean you learned to drive without the help of the CDC?

Also, you made up that title. The real title is: ‘Parents are Key’ to success of National Teen Driver Safety Week, says CDC

CDC’s published mission: “CDC increases the health security of our nation. As the nation’s health protection agency, CDC saves lives and protects people from health threats.”

I would say driving drunk into a tree is a health threat.

So glad the CDC spent money they could have used on Ebola for the evil driving disease that belongs under the DOT.

Since 2014-08-20

If everything is a ‘disease’, then yes.

They need to change their name from Centers for Disease Control to Centers to Everything Control.

My great granddaddy was born before there were cars. Thank God the CDC was there to learn him up on how to drive the new horseless carriages.

So don’t drink and drive moron.

It doesn’t take the CDC for someone to know that.

This is a conservative site. We don’t need nannies to hold our hands.

Anything to distant them from Ebola. Maybe the new czar can hook them up with Moo’s lunches.

I need to clean the leaves out of the gutter. I filled out all my ladder ascent forms and sent them into the CDC. Hopefully they’ll be back by Christmas.

If you cannot see the problem with a federal agency which calls itself the "Center for Disease Control" expanding its reach so as to justify lecturing us about our driving habits, then you MAY be posting to the wrong web site.

I know what a disease is. The CDC should be addressing national security issues associated with the spread of communicable diseases and protecting the people of this nation from the health threats associated with communicable diseases.

They have NO business involving themselves in guns, cars or any other issues.

“Mission creep”

True. Most federal government agencies should be eliminated. The CDC is probably one of them. But that doesn’t mean that everything they do is evil or incompetent, as most freepers seem to suggest.

“Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for U.S. teens. Seven teens ages 16 to 19 die every day from motor vehicle injuries.”

That IS a national disgrace. And they ARE right, that parents are key. The cost to have a few of their employees draw up a couple flyers and do a press release once a year in pretty negligible.

Better spent on ebola? Yeah another $100 on ebola will make all the difference. I cant wait for more ebola news. In three days we past the time limit of likelihood anyone else in America contracted the disease as a result of Duncan. By Nov 5, if no one else shows symptoms that means the super incompetent CDC contained ebola in America with no deaths and only two infections. I see big crow pie in the making.
