AFter 5 years? My first thought was saying goodbye to mom like any good terrorist going to commit suicide. She should have known. We should all be aware of the signs of suicide because you may only see one, but someone else close will see another, and someone else another, and then you stop it.

Doesn't seem to me the kid cared one way or another for his mom or dad as Islam wrapped itself around him. That's just how it works, and generally if there's a mental issue all the more. It all becomes about one’s twisted duty to Islam above all else...and usually instructions from a teacher, be it in a Mosque, individual, or both. More often than not both.
