You know what this means, dont you? Right: Colorados ripe for the picking by GOP nominee Mitt Romney two years from now.
Cmon, its been hours since I trolled you guys about Romney 2016. I held out as long as I could.
Obamas currently rocking a robust 40/56 favorable rating in Colorado, a state he won twice. Mark Udalls rating: Almost identical, of course, at 40/54. Theres a perfect example, actually, of why O is now shouting from the rooftops that Senate Dems are his loyal toadies wholl go on carrying his water for the next two years if reelected. Nothings going to change those unfavorable numbers now but if he can convince more of the loyal 40 percent to turn out for Udall in the name of supporting Hopenchange, Udall might have a shot. Or he might not: Not only hasnt he led in a single poll this month, three different polls recently have showed Gardner with a lead of six points or better. Its too much to ask for a GOP blowout in a state as purple as Colorado but a comfortable win against an incumbent with a famous last name, no less isnt out of the question.
But wait. What about that BuzzFeed story I linked in the OKeefe post suggesting that Colorado polls might be chronically undercounting Latino voters? One recent poll that showed Gardner ahead had him winning Latinos outright, an implausible result that may have been driven by polling English-speaking Latinos only. Another problem is underestimating turnout: Per BuzzFeed, some polls have been projecting that just five percent to 10 percent of the electorate in Colorado will be Latino in November when it was 12 percent in the last midterm cycle of 2010. Could this Suffolk poll be making the same errors? Er, nope:
Between 13 and 14 percent Latino seems like a highly credible sample. And, via Guy Benson, theres no fluke result in this one showing Latinos breaking for Gardner to make you question the topline number:
Heres one more from Dobson, in case Udall fans arent already feeling queasy:
The only way to discredit todays result for Dems might be to question the screen. Suffolk, for some reason, polled very likely voters, not likely ones as most pollsters do. That may have produced a sample thats a bit more Republican-leaning than will actually show up on election day. Its Republicans, after all, who are raring to get out there and pull the lever, and therefore more inclined to say theyre very likely to vote. (Not surprisingly, the GOPs also performing well in early voting in Colorado.) But some Dems will turn out half-heartedly, even though theyre not very sure about it right now. Theyre Obamas target audience, in fact, in his reelect my toadies pitch. So maybe Gardners not really up seven but hes up. Comfortably.
Would it be too hubristic to post this now with a long-distance dedication to O? If so, no worries: Were probably going to crap the bed in Georgia and North Carolina so we should enjoy this sort of prospective gloating while we can.

Ruh-roh .guess the Dems will have to do more “vote harvesting” in the prisons and post office trash cans. Isn’t voting by mail great?
Barely enough to beat the fraud spread.
Talk to me on Nov 5.
Someone in Denver needs to examine the voter registration lists and death certificates, and I’m sure they will find more than a few names matching both sets of records.
Senator Uterus (D-Colo) endorses free-for-all, no limits, abortion and has perfected the Democrat party line: "For the government to step in at any stage of the pregnancy to militarize a woman's vagina is the equivalent of enslaving a woman to the inconvenient fetus just because she had sex w/ some selfish male in heat. I urge women to place their own interests ahead of the parasites feeding off her body."
Sen Udall's vigilant Vagina Oversight Commiitte includes:
Buddy Balzer. Nikita Genitalia, and Sheldon Sheather
(on-loan; VP of PlannedParenthood's Protection-R-Us).
"Just call Sheldon, Buddy, or Nikita, if you need vagina oversight."
Not again...!!
.
Mark Uterus imploding. Have to say I didn’t see it coming.
With the mail-in ballots, I’m not sure that Cory can win.
James O’Keeffe has already documented voter fraud. I would feel better if Cory was up by 15 or 20 points.
People are scared to death of Obama and angry too.
Beating Udall would be great, beating Hickenloser as well would make my day.
How conservative is Udall?
I have heard Democrats urging systematic collection of unused absentee/mail-in ballots for fraudulent voting. "It's not as bad as stealing", they say.
When I first moved to my present address, there were 12 people registered at the same address as residents and eligible voters. That count is down to 4 now.
I shredded two mail-in ballots that arrived at my house. One was for a person who is deceased and one was for a person who has not lived in this state for three years and is apparently registered to vote in another state.
I will be checking the online voting record to be sure that neither of these ballots is cast.
“Nothings going to change those unfavorable numbers now but if he can convince more of the loyal 40 percent to turn out for Udall in the name of supporting Hopenchange, Udall might have a shot.”
Oh, goodie, I actually “hope” that he tries this.
On the books, this is a rather serious crime (probably because, it IS), but the judiciary (even small-r republicans) are loathe to prosecute it because the people who do it are “just hard workin’ folks”.
A few of these hard-working folks REALLY, REALLY need to go to the federal pen for five to ten years to set an example.
Allahpundit is wrong about why Udall is in trouble.
Liberals and conservatives in Colorado are voting as usual. The middle has decided that Udall is an embarrassment.
I don’t think the Dem get out the vote thing is going to work so well this time. I have a black friend who has completely lost faith in Obama and is admitting it.
Remember when we said that Obama had no chance to live up to the expectations put upon him? we were right. The Dems are ready to leave him behind, and move on to Hillary. She won’t be running on the idea that she will be Barry’s third term.
They’ll just leave a trail of Cheetos outside the polling place to attract the stoners.
I’m Walter Ballchinian and I approve this message.
