It's true that most symptoms of heart attack can actually indicate less serious conditions. My point in linking the WebMD article is to show there are more warning signs of a heart attack than the proverbial feeling of an elephant sitting on your chest. Not every heart attack victim has the pain and pressure in the chest. And often those other warning signs are ignored or dismissed, even by health care professionals.

Yeah, the symptoms alone would give many false positives for an MI and that’s why they need to look for enzyme changes, ekg, etc., I believe.
