There's a real possibility that Ebola could be defeated in the near future, because the people with the power to do something are suddenly afraid for themselves and their friends and families.

People have been working on vaccines for many years, unsuccessfully. Some point out that it changes too much to corner with a vaccine.

It isn't an issue of "non-Africans". When a bar fight happens in a bar downtown, it's not your problem. When it happens your living room, you have to deal with it. We did a pretty good job of excluding the pestilence in the world from crossing our borders until we got a totally incompetent, anti-American asshole elected.
