President Barack Obama has canceled a trip to New Jersey and Connecticut and will instead hold a meeting about Ebola at the White House.
“The president’s travel today to New Jersey and Connecticut has been postponed,” the president’s Press Secretary said in a statement. “Late this afternoon, the president will convene a meeting at the White House of cabinet agencies coordinating the government’s response to the Ebola outbreak.”
That’s right. Obama has cancelled a fundraiser. When the US Consulate in Benghazi was sacked and our ambassador killed, what did Obama do?
According to the public schedule of the president, the last time the Obama attended his daily intelligence meeting was Sept. 5 — a week before Islamist radicals stormed our embassy in Cairo and terrorists killed our ambassador to Tripoli. The president was scheduled to hold the intelligence meeting at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday, the day after the attacks, but it was canceled so that he could comfort grieving employees at the State Department — as well he should. But instead of rescheduling the intelligence briefing for later in the day, Obama apparently chose to skip it altogether and attend a Las Vegas fundraiser for his re-election campaign. First, I don’t think Obama likes golf. He likes the ‘idea’ of golf, like he likes the ‘idea’ of being President.
He plays golf only to get out of the White House and away from any decision making or uncomfortable questions.
I would bet my entire yearly salary that once he leaves the position of President, he never plays golf again. Especially if he has to pay for it.

Ebola is getting most of the attention, but we also have this Enterovirus D68 sweeping the country/schools and there has been at least 5 deaths.
Optics are everything to Obola. IMHO, Frieden will be the fall guy. Cabinet will huddle to draft talking points.
