Officials with the city of Houston, Texas, who are defending a controversial ordinance that would allow men to use womens restrooms now have demanded to see the sermons preached by several area pastors.
The recent move came in a subpoena from the city to pastors for copies of their sermons and other communications in the citys legal defense of a non-discrimination measure that allows gender-confused people to use public restrooms designated for the opposite sex.
A lawsuit challenging Houstons move alleges the city violated its own charter in its adoption of the Equal Rights Ordinance, which in May designated homosexuals and transgender persons as a protected class.

I would be shocked if any sermons or communications showed up on Annise’s desk.
This is not a good group to take on in public. Or in private.
I am looking forward to seeing how the subpoena to our church has been framed by Dr. Young. I am hoping for Louis Quinze gold leaf.
I was around 16, and I can’t remember if it was during a trip, or something that I read.
Rom 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
Rom 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in [their] knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Rom 1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
Rom 1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
Rom 1:31 Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
Rom 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
I'm a proud Texan.
I would be happy for you if your state was HALF as good as Texas.
I understand that you are jealous...and WHY!
Bless your heart!
Rolling it up and setting it on fire during a sermon would work for me too.
Lyndon Baines Johnson
Not to mention your senior Senator.
Big cities are big cities, it doesn’t really matter where they are located.
At least its not New Hampshire, with no big cities what is their excuse?
Isn't that the whole Democrat Party platform? Make everyone as bad off as everyone else?
Nothing to worry about in Texas unless you want to stroll down a rural road with a rifle.
exactly. Only the "leaders" on "our side" will throw their hands up and say "Well, that's a settled issue now. Can't keep fighting that"
The left never, ever gives up.
Well well, Mayor Parker demonstrating her communist leanings I see.
LOL, what bees nest Ive whacked! No matter...the ‘arguments’ run from self delusion to moral relativism. What a great place TX must be, lol. As I said youve not put forward any credible argument that TX isnt inhabited by much other than liberals or self deluded chest beaters. Oh, Im sure its a bit more complex than that but not much.
NH has its big cities just not as big as TX. Yup, theyre cesspools too....just like TX. Are there conservatives there? Yup, just like TX. As I said you all need to get out more. How many chest beaters have actually lived or visited NH? Eh?? Ive certainly had my share of TX and its not impressive.
You must be correct, chest beaters and liberals, that is all we got in Texas. uh huh. Good thing you don't generalize too much.
My state Rep is a conservative Republican. He's black...and might be a FReeper.
were Mosques included?
you also have poor reading comprehension...seems to be a trait of chest beaters. You did answer my initial posting after all.
Hey, hey! You’ll find yourself in jail for hate speech like that...
It is a total abridgement of “separation of church and state” and the free speech rights of the groups of citizens known as “churches”.
The city can be allowed to say in the city’s own restrooms, certain rules will be followed, but outside of government (IT IS ONLY GOVERNMENT THAT MAY NOT BY LAW “discriminate”) individual institutions must be free to make their own restroom rules.
I guess I was born a "chest-beater" because when I was in Jr. Hi I thought everybody, everywhere ...took TX history!
I love Texas!
Steers and queers.
