One question Im asked in every electoral cycle is, What are the surprise races in this election? My answer in recent years has been, There are no surprises, because any unexpected development becomes universally known in seconds.
There have been two such developments in this cycle. One in Kansas: the emergence about five weeks ago of independent Greg Orman (and the withdrawal from the ballot of the Democratic nominee) as a strong competitor against 34-year Capitol Hill veteran Republican Sen. Pat Roberts.
The other was in South Dakota: a poll showing Larry Pressler, a former Republican senator running as an independent, within the statistical margin of error of Republican nominee Mike Rounds and ahead of Democrat Rick Weiland.
Before these developments, everyone figured these were safe Republican seats. Now they look to be in jeopardy. Republicans chances for the net gain of six seats they need for a Senate majority seem reduced.

Exactly. “Independents” precisely. More likely wolves in sheep clothing.
Quote: “My guess is that oscillating polls will give way to familiar results in South Dakota and Kansas, as they did in Brazil and Britain. But maybe not. Well see.”
But let’s not hedge our bets or anything, unless we should.
There are no “independents”. Independents are the equivalent of “moderate moozlums”.
Out: RINOs and DINO’s
In: DIABLOs, Democrats in All But Label Only.
Oh yes, “independents” that vote straight Obama and have Soros led fundraisers...
Yeah, he ends this really weak. I guess that’s why he’s a pundit.
DIABLO’s — briliant
Democrat ground game.
Democrats slime game!

You did the same thing this morning to Dr. Thomas Sowell.
The spineless, gutless GOP is over confidant about taking the senate in a few weeks. You can bet any close election will result in a RAT recount with RAT judges ruling in favor and campaign workers finding uncounted ballots in their cars. SOS goes on and on.
Radix News bought syndication rights to those columns, it is not plagiarism. Distributed by Creators Syndicate. Says so right on the page.
If you got the link changed you should get it changed back because Radix has as much right to run that copy as RCP. It is a paid for syndicated column.
It is like El Rushbo once said. Independents are nothing more than liberals who don’t have the guts to admit they are liberals.
Please post correct headlines, rather than propaganda.
While I like the idea of these false “independent” Democrats losing, I like truth in advertising, not pushing our side to wishfully believe things.
They may (and hopefully will lose), but not necessarily which is why EVERY conservative MUST get out and vote, and campaign this election season ;-)!
That was the headline on the version I posted but the link was changed because someone doesn’t understand copyright law.
Romney won huge among the independents.
Those were real independents, not closet leftists
