Bring Out Your Dead

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...

...considered at low to moderate risk... Then why are they spending a small fortune treating him? Barry said that all Americans' risk of catching Ebola here in America is low. Shouldn't we all be receiving treatment?

The Swedes pay AT LEAST 45-60% of their income for taxes, no matter what they earn. I've had a friend over there for 40 years. She's a doctor and thus pays the MAX, which, for her is a whopping
65%! It's insane, but they DO have "cradle to grave" care, the WHOLE nine yards.
Talk about a MOMMY-state.
Their Swedish tennis stars used to move out of Sweden JUST to avoid the taxation. I forget where they went, somewhere in Europe. Ah, the memory fades.
