The Dallas nurse that contracted Ebola graduated from Texas Christian University in 2010, according to an email sent to students and faculty Sunday night.
The unidentified woman graduated from the Universitys accelerated BSN nursing program. The email states that TCU does not believe the alum has been on campus recently.
TCU has established a committee overseeing the health center and other relevant areas in order monitor the virus in the Dallas area and the health of the campus environment.

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...

Accelerated BSN generally means she’s a career-changer into nursing...poor lady.
2010. That’s when my own daughter got her BSN.
Prayers up for her.
The Obama admin says she violated protocol.
Yet the decline to say what she did to violate them.
Oh wow. Bless her- young and excited to begin her nursing career.
I want to know exactly what kind of training the staff caring for Duncan received. I read today that FIFTEEN MINUTES. training was offered to the ones in Spain.
Prayers for her complete recovery. Duncan’s family should be offering prayers instead of mouthing off about racism.
Isn’t it out of the ordinary to email all TCU students and faculty?
You have pointed out something really important.
Procedures are only as good as the training undertaken to make sure they are understood and followed.
If she followed procedures, which I bet she did, the procedures are inadequate.
If she didn't, the hospital system's training of her was inadequate.
It is a shame that the government chooses to blame someone who was likely doing her job exactly as she had been instructed.
Like any complex manufacturing process, there is going to be a percentage (typically very small) of defective parts.
Unfortunately in this case the defective parts are dead people.
Agreed. And I’m all for a bit of continuous improvement from FedGov et al. instead of the (nonsense) that they’ve got it all figured out and under control.
If you’re my age, you remember back to the James Earl Carter administration when basically EVERYTHING foreign and domestic was screwed up.
This has all the same characteristics, except it took longer to really be understood because of the devotion of the MSM for Caliph Baraq.
Yes, I remember. I think this is worse, because the media back then really wanted Teddy Kennedy to become President (until his performance in the Roger Mudd interview pretty much ended his chances) and for that reason did not give Carter a free ride.
Crap!! Thanks for heads up. Just read this on Twitter from a local news guy:
@cbs11jack: #breaking #Texas Health Presbyterian Hosp in #Dallas now says it’s diverting ambulances to other hospitals again - w/o explanation. @cbsdfw
More Ebola cases? Sounds suspicious.
Around here, TCU frogs are everything! I bet they are trying to determine if she went to any football games recently! My son is a TCU graduate and goes to the games all the time! Maybe time to watch it on TV!!
