Jesse Jackson: Racism Played Role in Ebola Patient's Death

The Rev. Jesse Jackson and a Dallas County commissioner have accused a Texas hospital of racism in the death of Ebola patient Thomas Eric Duncan.

"What role did [Duncan's] lack of privilege play in the treatment he received? He is being treated as a criminal rather than as a patient," Jackson wrote in a story for the Huffington Post this week. "As followers of Jesus, we are called to work for the day when those with privilege, most often white people, have greater access to better medical care than those whom Jesus calls 'the least of our sisters and brothers.'"

Duncan, who traveled to Dallas from Liberia on Sept. 20, contacted the disease while in the West African country — which has become ground zero in the current epidemic. He succumbed to the illness Wednesday.

Duncan visited Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital on Sept. 25 after first experiencing symptoms a day earlier. Doctors released him, seeing no major cause for concern. Reports say that Duncan told doctors he had come from West Africa.

Minority women constitute only about 13% of the female population (age 15-44) in the United States, but they underwent approximately 36% of the abortions.

It would be 36 percent larger than it is. Abortion has swept through the Black community like a scythe, cutting down every fourth member.”

A highly significant 1993 Howard University study showed that African American women over age 50 were 4.7 times more likely to get breast cancer if they had had any abortions compared to women who had not had any abortions.

Once again, a black leader is standing up to lead the flock astray.  How many decades will it take for decent blacks to take their race back from men like this?

Jackson and the NAACP have done more to hold blacks back than any other entity over the last half century.

They lie to them.  They give them every excuse in the book to stop trying.  They tell them they can't do it without government support.  And then when they have government support, they turn into criminals and try to make a little extra.

It's a real shame.  Do blacks think they are better off today than they were twenty years ago?  I seriously doubt that is the case.

While I agree that this little foray my in and of itself go nowhere, there’s really no such possibility. Jesse has a grand total of well under $10 grand into this, none of which he earned with productive effort (other than productive for HIM) with airfare & Dallas hotel. No matter what the outcome, he will come out with ten times that, perhaps 100x that in contributions to his coalition.

Let’s also be perfectly clear that he has operatives and/or supporters working Ferguson, ready to light that place up. Indeed, I believe Sharpton and Jackson see the confluence as a perfect storm for their exploitations.

That’s the beauty of the king racebaiters. They are down with the struggle against the thing that can never end. As long as they themselves take no shrapnel, there’s no way they can lose.
