The head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said there was "clearly" a breach in protocol that led to a Texas health care worker contracting Ebola after treating a Liberian man who later died from the virus, although authorities do not yet know what that breach was.
"We're deeply concerned about this new development," Dr. Thomas Frieden said in an interview on CBS' "Face the Nation" Sunday. "I think the fact that we don't know of a breach in protocol is concerning because clearly there was a breach in protocol. We have the ability to prevent the spread of Ebola by caring safely for patients."
"The fact is that the individual who became ill was, as per protocol, self monitoring. Immediately when they developed symptoms they isolated themselves, they were promptly isolated at the hospital so that any further spread from that individual was stopped," Frieden added.

Absolutely!
Like TB Sanatoriums and Leper Colonies - there was a good reason for them then - like MASH units for Ebola would be today.
Maybe there should be MASH units at wide-open US southern border.....
Frieden is obviously a political hack whose pay grade far exceeds his skills, wisdom, or ability. He has done nothing but political hackery his entire career after he left medical training. He's nothing but a once somewhat medically skilled fat-assed bureaucrat!
In other words, he's a perfect fit in the 0bama Administration.
Maybe we can borrow some of our troops back from Liberia?
I'm sure they could help out - after their 30 day mandatory quarantine period, of course.
I work at a hospital and today less than a dozen signs arrived to be posted in various locations. The signs read:
Attention All Patients
Notify security & triage nurse if within the past 3 weeks, you have recently travelled or been in contact with someone who has visited West Africa ( Guinea, Liberia, Senegal, Sierra Leone) or other countries where ebola transmission has been reported
and
have fever
or have headache, joint/muscle aches, weakness, fatigue, Diarrhea, vomiting, stomach pain or bleeding.
I guess they haven't heard about the US reports, yet. As far as I know, the hundreds of thousands of hazmat suits and gear have not arrived yet.
Paging Van Jones... From green jobs czar to Ebola czar... same thing right?
Yeah it looks like a amphetamine quaalude cocktail he’d be on to make him act that way in a creepy Mr. Rogers type of monotone monotony.
