Good start. This has been abused so much as an excuse for murder that they should do this everywhere.
“Which cop will be the first to be run down by a thug? Who is the sacrificial scapegoat on the Miami Beach police force?”
Typical example of cops abusing the rules.
Over reacting.
“116 police rounds”
No concern for bystanders.
“wounded four innocent bystanders.”
That’s the way it is. A few idiots always screw things up for everyone else.
ONE-HNDRED-SIXTEEN ROUNDS! Seriously?
That kind of crap has to stop! I don't care who you are, that's an excessive use of force. Too many times a moving vehicle has been used as an excuse to murder people by trigger happy cops.
The problem is, that cops have shot up a few too many cars that were not trying to run them over. It's a simple case of bad cops that have ruined it for the good ones. Very few cops are killed at work as compared to many other trades. Quit watching so much TV.
I watched some news footage awhile back, where some drunk was backing out of a parking space after a relatively minor incident. He bumped the squad car at about one mile an hour. Both he and his passenger were killed in a hail of gunfire by police who “feared for their lives” The paint on the squad car would have buffed out. There was obviously no attempt made to hurt a cop but it was just as obvious that every attempt was made to murder the occupants of the vehicle.
Recall the woman killed in Washington DC.
Yes, she had 'issues', she also had a child in the back seat!
My guess is that far more bystanders are hit, then coppers run over with intent.
Also far more questionable shooting into cars then then coppers shot from cars.
And you would also rather have 10 dead bystanders run down by a homicidal sociopath
Cops show restraint and wisdom over time then we can talk about changing how they do business.
But all the cops went home to their families.
