Profound Delusion: A Professor’s Convoluted Explanation of Jihadi Beheadings
Terror Trends Bulletin ^ | 9 Oct 14 | Unattributed

Since 9/11 a lot of people have promoted themselves as “terrorism experts.” Most are not.

Many of these new “terrorism experts” hail from the halls of American academia–places that frankly provide very little in the way of background for the study of terrorism. It’s as if the same bunch who got it wrong during most of the Cold War saw an opportunity in the field of terrorism and became instant experts overnight.

There are a lot of problems with this phenomenon of overnight terrorism experts, not the least of which is the fact that oil-rich Gulf states such as Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia have showered US academic institutions with millions of dollars. This has resulted in terrible bias inside our universities. These same sources of funding, after all, provide funding to Jihadist terrorist organizations. It’s a neat set-up. Islamists fund the Jihadis over there and fund universities here in the West to influence what is taught to our young people.

So, what we have, in many cases, are instant “terrorism experts” who are beholden to the very community that promotes terrorism.

We’ve seen a possible outcome of this process in an atrocious article published by Politico magazine on October 7th. The title is Why ISIL Beheads Its Victims.

I have no faith in anything that comes out of academia. Liars, whores and communists.

The term “professor” encompasses both very bright and abysmally stupid individuals.

I’m afraid that the latter (existing primarily in the marshmallow departments what would have never been allowed in a pre WW-2 college) have become dominant.

It’s time for a completely different title for those possessing box top PhDs...such as in education, womyn’s studies, and anything to do with silly Marxian econonics.

Suggestions?

The moronic screed actually contained the following statement: "Precious little evidence exists of religious motives guiding the strategic logic of ISIL’s violence."

Something I have noticed with ‘young’ people in the workplace:
If they HEARD of something 5 minutes ago... they’re the new global authority.
Never mind that they have not ever read one single word ABOUT the subject, have never studied or researched it, couldn’t tell you the pro’s or cons’ of the topic, never mind that they couldn’t even spell it correctly... THEY are the new authority!
It’s remarkable.
These same young idiots, whenever I even casually mention what is (to my way of thinking) a commonly known and documented, historical FACT -they stand there in obvious and stunned awe that I know such a fact, or ELSE they resentfully challenge what they hear, because they can’t accept that fundamental and verifiable information exists and has not been GIVEN to them as well!

The present system of ‘education’ has turned young people into vapid, intellectually unresourceful and unimaginative dummies who only know what is presented to them in the media.

The idea of personally researching ANYTHING is an alien concept to them. Their habit of routinely accepting wholly pre conceived and pre masticated data from their media puppet masters has turned them into plastic automatons with NO ability to think for themselves.

I really don’t have any suggestions for a new name, but I have long thought that ANYONE who aspires to the title PhD should have to pass math up through differential equations just to prove they are smart enough for a PhD. I don’t care that it may have nothing to do with their chosen field of study.
