An 18 year-old teenager was shot by a police officer in St. Louis City Wednesday night.
The suspect reportedly shot at the officer during a chase.
A 9mm Ruger was recovered from the scene.
The shooting took place around 7:30 PM CT.
Hundreds of protesters, including Ferguson protest leaders, took to the street after the shooting.

Once again, the grievance mongers in the St. Louis region are calling for a revolution, a war against police.
Its going to b a civil war the police against the people @SLMPD when the police approach us we need 2 shoot first ask ? Later @search4swag

However, the “innocent 18 year-old with a sandwich” narrative is not accurate.
Vonderrit Myers Jr., pictured with his mother, was shot dead by an off-duty police officer on Wednesday night. (Daily Mail)
Regarding the deceased suspect who physically struggled with and shot at the officer Police Chief Dotson said the man was “no stranger to law enforcement“
Vonderrit Myers, Jr., at 18 years-old, already had a gun felony charge.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that people claiming to be relatives of the victim identified him as 18-year-old Vonderrit Myers, Jr. His date of birth identified as 1996. (His father also named Vonderrit, born in 1972, has cases listed too.) Vonderrit’s only 18 and already has felony charges as an adult.
He has serious charges on Missouri Casenet.

1422-CR02533 – ST V VONDERRIT DEONDRAY MYERS (E-CASE)
Filing:
THE ABOVE DEFENDANT WAS ACTIVATED ON ELECTRONIC MONITORING HOUSE ARREST/GPS ON JULY 8,2014. EMASS WILL NOTIFY THE COURT IF ANY VIOLATIONS OCCUR.
Vonderrit Myers Jr. had an electronic monitor and was house arrest.
GPS monitoring shows the officers real-time images of where their defendants are, and whether they are abiding by curfews or geographical orders of protection.
The ankle monitor could be how the officer’s attention was drawn to Vonderrit. It could be another reason he had the lopsided run that Chief Dotson mentioned in his press conference.
Amazing how often the word “victim” is used in title and
article. Substitute the word “suspect” and the whole tone
changes.
We have here a second-generation violent thug killed while attempting to commit murder.
And ...
We have angry, ugly, urban blacks supporting the deceased attempted murderer.
Civil War II has already begun.
The consistently outraged crew is out again huh? Can’t look at the facts. There’s no money to be made that way.
Protesting after a cop gets shot at and returns deadly fire.
Why?
A Lugar, daummmmm, the boy either had money or a good “friend”.
Oh, woe to those engaged in this Civil War when the people they are waging war against decide to fight back.
From the Dutch colony Ubangi tribe? Ubangi for "Affican Prince" no doubt....
Is there a way to find out how long the Electronic monitoring was to be on? July 8 is three months ago.
It costs good money to pay the fee for the electronic home monitoring ankle bracelet also - the cost of the gun - there was some discretionary spending there, I think.
Not a “Lugar” (WTH is that?)
A Ruger.
They’re not the same thing.
Look it up.
And the thug must have been a consummate slob to jam a Ruger.
Yeah ...
Ping, in case you hadn’t seen it.
I bet he never broke it down and cleaned it. If it was new, it probably still had the preservatives in the slide. 18 year olds aren’t likely to have a bottle of Hoppe’s around.
18 year olds arent likely to have a bottle of Hoppes around.
Depends on what caliber of 18 year old you're talking about. I knew how to clean a gun at 18 ... actually before 18.
But Dad isn't a professional felon.
Maybe that matters ...
My bad son, know damn well what the difference is. I just gotta learn at my age that doing two things at once is a formula for mistakes.
Chill.
I’m not the one who confused a Senator, an obsolete antique pistol, and a modern pistol still in production.
Try reading glasses.
I finally broke down and bought some ... +2 diopter.
It helps.
A lot.
I suggest the LEO withdraw from Ferguson MO, and dump some additional ammo in the streets. Let the thugs shot it out for a few days.
shot = shoot
